New MTS Fee: Serious Misunderstanding
#1
Over 95% of people are misreading this notice.

If you read carefully, it says the For Sale and Wanted items will still use the old transaction fee, even after 7/28

Only the Auction and Buy Now items will still use the new transaction fee.

Get your facts straight guys.

"Items that were listed under "For Sale" and "Wanted" will be sold with old transaction fee even after 7/28. Items under "Auction" and those you "Buy Now" will be sold with new transaction fee even if the items were on MTS before 7/28."

"were listed" means if you listed the item before the patch, it'll still use the old tax, but if you list it after the patch, it'll use the new tax.

Yeah it means if you listed it before the patch, it'll still keep the same tax, it won't change to the new tax.

They are only changing the tax fee for the Auction and Buy Now sales.

I think you are misreading it. The new fee will take place 7/28 and all items under those tabs that are suppose to sell after 7/28 will be moved to auction with the old fee. Example, I put something up today for price X, that will use the old fee. When the 7/28 thing is implemented it will be moved to auction under the same old fee. Anything new you put into mts will be charged with the new fee. Unless I misread something that should be how it works.

I don't know..I'm still leaning towards my theory. For all you know, they could've made a silly grammar mistake..

I read it as anything currently in For Sale/Wanted will keep the current fee if its put on before 7/28 and anything in auction and whatever else will change even if its before 7/28, and EVERYTHING after 7/28 will use the new fee. Rolleyes

It definitely means that only items that were listed before the date mentioned will be sold at the old rates after this change goes into place. All other items that are listed after the date mentioned will be forced to use the new system.

So if you've currently got something listed, they're not gonna make you relist it once this goes into place. But that's all.

Yeah this. Point is the fee will be implemented on all tabs after 7/28

No you don't have the whole community against you, but let's test this out first and bring back hard evidence to confirm/deny this. Also, why couldn't this discussion be in the original post?

EDIT: At the person above me, when I interpreted as I did, I thought it was an important enough thing and would get more views if placed on a separate thread. If not important enough, a mod can move it.

You don't make new threads when you want someone to notice your post.
