Ore Hunting and Farming

So we all know everyone's been hunting and hoarding lots and lots of ores and crystals in preparation for the maker skill.

I feel a little redundant asking this, but I'm curious on everyone's input. I've been looking around, and there's no real nice thread that gives GOOD locations for each ore type. For example, I was trying to collect silver ores, and was at Homonculus for 15mins with 2x and only managed one ore. So this got me thinking

What would you say are the best location to farm various ores?

Here's some of mine to get the ball rolling,

I've gotten tons upon tons of garnets from Red Wyverns.




That's all I can think of right now lol

I know Slimes give a lot of Sapphire ores.

Leprechauns drop Gold and Diamonds, and I think Black Crystal ores.

Ores are usually a secondary thing when I hunt. I usually go for something else and get them along the way. Like a bunch of lidium from cube slimes and diamond ores from drum bunnies on my chaos hunting.

Mobs in MP3 give plenty of Diamond, Gold, and Orihalcon ores. They drop Black Crystal ones too, I think. It's really a great place to train in.

Straw dolls could be a great place to farm saph ores

If you want diamonds, I've found no better place than Iron Mutae's in Magatia. They also drop gold ores.

As for black crystals, I'd go with Slimy's in Singapore and Wolf Spiders.

I personally don't think Sapphires will be worth that much. I mean, you can only make luk equips with the maker skill, and how many people are still luk/low luk magicians? If you can get a good price for em, sell em high ;D

Platoon chronos had a frequent habit of dropping diamond ores.
Any magatia mobs drops ores rather frequently too, if you can kill fast enough.

I found out homuns in magatia drop diamond ores at a pleasing rate while hunting for chaos scrolls.

Moon Bunnys drop Sapphire Ores like crap! Rombot dropped me a REFINED Dex Crystal not long ago.

I've been hoarding all the jewels I've come across, and in my quest to get the Agent Gloves via Skeles Dungeon, I can say that Aquamarine drops there quite a bit.

Time Temple quests give you stuff depending on how high a level you are

Those quests give you all the jewels (one per 999 quest), then all the crystals. I think they skipped the Black Crystal though, don't remember.

Jr. Newties have given me a lot of Opal, and quite a few Wisdom Crystal ores too.

i did get a black crystal from a Time Temple quest.

I second this. I got a lot them when I trained there.

I dunno. Wraiths seem to drop quite a few steel/dark crystal ores.

Make a new char and keep doing John's 1st JQ in Sleepywood for random mineral ores. You can get about 2 every 2 mins (60 per hr) if you've mastered it.

Same thing with Shumi's B3 JQ for gold/diamond/bc ores.

I don't think you have to make a new char for this...

Wasn't B3 changed in a previous patch so you can only do it once per day?
