I think bisexuals can't even choose to be g'ay just because they're focusing on the same gender doesn't mean they lose their attaction to the opposite gender.
BTW, if your straight friend mentions about hot guys to you, something's wrong there. Closet maybe? I could be wrong but most straight people I have encountered have a "no homo" mentality.

Those straight people are insecure. I'm straight, and I don't feel a need to prove that to anyone by reacting negatively to anything that seems gay.

Hmmm... I think I've come to the conclusion being straight or gay, you're born with. However: bisexuality you are born with, but it must be triggered some way or another.
I would consider myself bisexual, and for quite a long time in my life I had the "anti-gay" mentality. Now, "hell yeah, I don't mind me some cock". I didn't go bi until a few people convinced me to be so.

I'll point out a hot guy if I see one, but I'd never date a guy. I just like seeing good-looking people. It's pointless to run around covering your bumhole around gay men. I just tell them that I'm not interested in men. You can meet a lot of interesting girls, though, since they seem to crowd around gay men.

The only problem I have with bisexuals are those whores/manwhores that are going out with a person of the opposite sex, are cheating on him/her with a person of the same sex, and reason this is not cheating because the other person is of the same sex. That really makes me headdesk.

hmm explain how you are 'born' bisexual & then people CONVINCED you to be that?
I'm sorry but that's hilarious right there. It's like the oh so cliche line "How do you know if you don't try it?" lmao..
Edit: I'm straight, I love men ( mangina ) lmao.. If one of my guy/girl friends asks me if the girl that he/she likes is pretty I'll say either yes/no, that doesn't mean that I would sleep with the girl.

Ehhhh... I sorta see his point. A bisexual person can probably seamlessly blend in with the straight public. He may find same-sex people attractive, but refrain from such a relationship becuase of the general stigma against gays. If such a person falls in with a crowd where same-sex relationships are encouraged, he might try it.
However, if you have your choice between being different from the general public and being with the general public, I would say be with the general public.

My point of view is that...
Yes, you are "born" with your attraction to men. However, you can choose whether you want to be homosexual or not. It's still a choice, go straight and have a family while you aren't sexually attracted to your partner or go homosexual/bi and be comfortable with your live and whatnot.

Obviously you can act like a straight if you're gay and vice versa, but you're not being yourself if you do so.

So explain to me how a gay male or gay female is supposed to act??? b/c there are gay guys/& women that don't act like the typical flaming homosexual & you wouldn't even know that they're gay. :f6:

Surprisingly like me. I go to parties/meet ups with friends and meet new people, I have to explain to some of them that I'm gay, so they can stop trying to set me up with their girl friends.

I'm pretty sure he means in terms of having intimate relations with guys, not some sort of flamboyant crap. I mean you don't have to have sex with women just because you're straight either.

They were sure they were simply insane. Thought they were the only one in the world like that. Several wanted to kill themselves for being so twisted. They tried to change themselves, and failed.
Now, it's possible that they had in fact heard of same-gender sexual relations somewhere, and their subconscious wish to be different picked up on that, and "chose" homosexuality without the knowledge or consent of the conscious mind. But I think that's stretching the meaning of "choice" a little too far.
This is like my life story from age 6-18. Finally, two years ago, I came to terms with my sexuality. I'm done trying to change myself. I prayed. I did everything I could think of to make myself straight. Yet, I'm still homosexual.
I am not one of those flamboyant gays. I'm just a normal guy. No one knows I am gay, unless I tell them. No I'm not out, but why should I be? Makes no difference to me whether others know my sexuality or not. The only people who should know or care are the people I want to be with.
I really get sad/mad when I see the flamboyant gays running around in dresses and talking like women. That is what everyone sees. Because of that, everyone thinks that's how all gay men are. I am here to tell you that I am sure maybe it is 50/50. It's just no one knows that the regular gay guys are gay.
I don't understand homophobia at all. None of my straight friends are scared of me, but if i told them I was gay, I am sure they would be. Homophobia is ok around the flamboyant gays. Hell! I can't even stand to be around them. There is a difference between (as I call them) "Flamos" and gay guys.

What I meant here, was that, by acting like a straight, you try to act like you're interested in girls to hide the fact that you're not. And, by doing so, you're not only lying to people who knows you, but also to yourself. Sorry if it was obfuscated.

I myself am bisexual, but because of the area I live in I have to pretend I'm straight as a ruler.
I'm attracted to women, so I don't have to use large scale lies to hide my orientation.
