Maple getting a larger spotlight.

My friends constantly make fun of me for playing MapleStory. I'm sure if they see an ad in the theater, they'll think of me.

Also, my friend claimed she saw an ad for maple when she saw Up.

Sonny and Daddy go to see Harry Pothead and the Chamber Pot. They see Maple on the ads! Instantly, when they come home Sonny steals Daddy's credit card and charges $330,000 in NX cash, causing him to become #1 in Broa but Daddy loses the house and now they both live in a garbage dump.

Maplestory is more fun when less people know about it.

The majority of Southperrians seem pretty mature. Maybe we should ask for a legal partnership with NEXON. Maybe then they'll listen to us.

Southperry will never have a partnership with Nexon.

The only reason Southperry seems more "mature" to you guys is because we're still a small forum. The moment we grow to the size of Basil or Sleepywood, we'll have the same amount of morons running around. Besides, we already have morons here at Southperry. You just don't see them because Isaac has them locked in the basement.

Maplestory is more fun when less people know about it.

That isn't necesarily a good thing.

In the world of MMOs, less people means the game closes down that much faster.

It's gonna be a problem when I go to see HP with friends who know I play Maple and friends I don't want to know I play Maple.

Well look on the brightside: When more idiots/10 year olds join the game there are bound to be some mature, decent and literate people joining too. The only bad thing I can see from this (assuming the adds are going to be super corny, I havn't seen them yet) is that worlds are going to be more populated.

On Topic: Well hopefully nothing changes dramatically, and the popularity becomes more or less positive than negative.

As long as most of the attracted crowd/nubs stay below level 70, I'm fine with this.

Well guess this is another reason for me to speed run new quests.

I'm guessing we will be getting another useless server next patch or two then.

I don't really care about more people as long as I'm not affected personally. I guess Nexon just wants more money (well, that was a pointless statement), and it's gonna get it. I'm afraid of more KSing and smega wars.

Oh, they'll probably add the EXP Gachapon again to support the newcomers. Also, if Maple Life has any expiration for its Cash Shop days (unsure), it'd probably be extended.

For people worrying about their friends finding out that you play maple, don't worry. People won't notice unless you're being really obvious about it.

1. I think the advertising is going to bring in some players but not many. Not to mention, the older (13 (more sensible)+) community of Scania can just ignore the influx of 10-12 year olds.

2. They've advertised before, and there wasnt a very visible increase in Players.

3. 10 year olds will be mainly low-leveled, so there's nothing to worry about :0

4. Close down Scania (and maybe Bera) to new players, please Nexon, its already crowded enough.

It would be nice if they blocked off new accounts from making characters, but I'd still like to make more characters. If they increase the character cap to 12, then I can get to my goal of one of every job with my two accounts already.

I'd rather they just make it invite only. Your friend tells you his "friend code" or w/e, you type it in, and his account is unlocked to making characters on those servers.

But of the choice between "no new players" and "fully open" I do prefer nobody new.
