Boat + Ducking

KaidaTan asked this in PB thread. I'm 95%+ sure you can duck and the game will register it. I've done it on Dodo and had the fish fly right through my head. Anyone who can take 2nd pap touch can frap or SS them holding down and see if pap goes through your head or not.

Oh, you mean ducking in the boat and it registering as ducking without the animation? Wow, I have no freaking clue o_o

Sidenote while I'm on the boat: Did you guys notice that if you hold down in your boat, it bobs up and down a little faster?

EDIT: Busted. I tried several times to duck under him and it didn't work out. I took one SS of me getting hit.

It *feels* like maybe it lowers me a little bit, because when he was flying back and forth over me, he'd only touch me about half of the time. Still, it doesn't feel like this would be safe to trust at Pink Been. Safer/better to just get the 11.3k HP (after HB) you need to survive his Reverse Genesis and Treble Cleff (they both do the same damage).

If you've ever partied a corsair before, when they're in their boat and duck, the HP bar is in the same position it would be if they were off the boat ducking. I think the boat might increase your hit box, like how being on the mounts does too. Although, not as much as the mounts.

The boat definitely increases your hitbox. The "safe AE spot" for archers at CGs doesn't work out. There's a platform at Skeles where they only shoot you when you're mounted. And it makes you a bit fatter, too.

yes this does infact not work, checked it too when i read that PB thread... this sucks a lot, the only way would be to like.. dismount and hold down which sometimes seems to keep you standing still for some reason... the ship is dumb liek that.. try casting a long delay skill liek MW and then dismounting ship, you will be "sitting there" not on a chair or boat lol as for PB... we might need to use Rapid fire for that section or hp wash till no tomorrow and get to the 7.XXX hp or w.e to make enough hp with hb@_@

You could have done that test in a much less harmful environment, duck under Jr. Boogies.

I'm sure there is a difference, even if it's small. I've seen dodo's fish attack hit me when just attacking, and sometimes watch it right through my head. Because it's a mount is prolly the reason why it doesn't go down that much.

@HP: Potential 6.9k with MoN for 178 corsair atm. Got some gears like 100 hp maple leaf earring that doesn't kill my damage and adds a nice chunk of hp.

Real men don't wash to 5640 HP to tank Pap, they put it all on the line to test a good theory
