GMS leaving asian content aside?
#61
Dear god...
Tokyo
Malaysia
Singapore
...

Ok, where were we? Oh, right! World Tour Areas suck. I'd rather get Masteria, Cygnus, Aran content before we get any world tour (Maker sucks...(jk =P haha)). Although, it seem a tad too early for new Masteria, so I wouldn't doubt we get Malaysia, or something of the sort, sometime soon.

those tiny frogs at floating market rocks. And mushroom shrine used to shine because even before gMS got it, crows and cloud foxes gives 52exp. Crows are an equivalent to the zombie mush except flying birds.

Shanghai's sheeps gives same exp as zombie mush and is much more easier to kill. Quests in shanghai gives free pots and stuff. Not totally useless. And not to mention enraged livestock quest gives steelies(i got one) at random rates. And shanghai is somewhat related to singapore in msea because of a quest. So if it gets removed, 20k exp level 18 quest will be gone :[

World Tours are okay..

@Dean: You should know that when MSEA got it they forgot to tweak the EXP rates right..

Actually they should start focusing on World Tours, I find it weird because it's like a separate map and nothing to expand on.

Wee first post.

I personally want any area we don't have. Every time we get some new location, I get excited to go explore it. When pirates came out, I went and screenshotted every map at the Nautilus. o-o I do that kind of thing a lot, and it's fun. I don't care if I will never train on level 10 sheep or level 80 black blobs. My point is, just seeing something NEW besides everything we grind on each day is what should make us excited. At least, it makes me excited.

I do think that higher levels should get a little bit more of their own stuff as I feel the level 30 range gets a ton of content opposed to any other level. That annoys me. But still, seeing new monsters and hearing some new BGM is more satisfactory to me than trying to find a good map at CWK where I can climb past the guardians unscathed and train on a stormbreaker inside the keep from no other grind-worthy maps being open or finding zero typhon maps available and doing something unenjoyable or just sitting around in result. Grinding is fun when made fun, but leeching around in Leafre or grinding 4th job at skeles just makes it all to repetitive. I know multiple people in this thread have bashed world tour areas as useless, but who cares? Just do something different. If you're appeal isn't struck by a new darned level 30 area, ignore it. People out there do enjoy that place, and keep in mind: not all of GMS is on this forum, Basil, or Sleepy combined. Just a fraction. People on Nexon's site in the comments were surprised by TT and Ellin. Many of us weren't, but that's the whole concept. Millions of people see nothing coming, and you have to consider their standpoints. Maybe they want a bunch of WT areas. Many of you seem selfish, and that issue was regarded in an earlier post. I think if the majority wants something, GMS will release it. Their decision won't be based on 10 users on Southperry, and I'll leave with that. Tongue

Heh, watched this topic for a while so I had stuff to say.

I completely agree with the above poster. So what if they're useless? Brand new content is exciting because it's new and offers a chance to break the habitual cycle of grinding to explore maps, monsters, and BGMS never seen before. Everything DOESN'T have to be literally "useful" or "beneficial to YOU" in a patch to make it great; what about the psychological side of training? It really helps in not going crazy while training to get a chance here and there to explore something new.

By the way, a lot of the World Tour areas aren't useless. Malaysia bosses are fun and give out helmets that destroy Zhelms. JMS' Kaede Castle has tons of high level mobs and the Poison Toad boss that would add more bossing fun to the game. Even Neo Tokyo would be amazing, with the highest leveled mobs in any version of MS to date, along with some of the best droplists and bosses ever. You want a useful patch? What's more useful than new equipment and bosses? Oh, right, I guess you just want the game broken a little more.

Understand that if every patch was "useful" to a person's definition, we'd have no delay skills and 200 meso Power Elixers within a year. Accept the difficulties of the game and yearn instead for things to have fun with! It's something a lot of people in GMS have forgotten. Back in the day, this game was all about having fun. Nowadays, it's just a clear level grind. No wonder everyone is so uptight.

Last thing: yes, some World Tours are "lame" and "pointless," but hey, so could some of the new Masteria maps. We don't know what we're getting with that continent yet, so it's more of a gamble. Final thing too is to note that on StrategyWiki, it's duly noted that GMS is only Maker, KoC, and Mu Lung Dojo away from being caught up with Asia. After that, the only big content left is the Balrog boss and Aran, which both have barely started making their way through Asia, and the World Tour maps. So understand there's not much else to update, and I assure you most people would rather get a World Tour area than Tarot Cards.
