Not really,
I know 1st job they use tool boxes (lol) and then 2nd job they upgrade to robot mount things.

Found this, Engineers seem like a very "interesting" class.

My IGN is Xanije.

There's artwork on the promo page which could've been from Loose if he drew in a more asian style.

My IGN is HurrycaneX, I'm lvl74 right now but I'm kinda stuck cause grinding with xBow is hard. Can't wait for Gunslinger though, more knockback! You both need to be online so I don't expect to see anyone from here buddying me anytime soon.

I tried LaTale with my girlfriend, I liked it but she didn't, so we both went on to other things.

Some here are concerned that Maple seems more "fun" than LaTale. I think that's because Maple is veeeeeeeery old at this point, they've had years to tack on new Cash Shop stuff, new enemies, new bosses, new gear, etc. Also millions play Maple all over the world, it's been advertised for years. LaTale is still fairly new, but it offers the same concept with better graphics, sound, and of course better customer service. I had some questions and concerns, they promptly replied, and it was clear it was by people rather than automated junk.

As for the Puzzles being from Cash Shop and similar stuff, that's not even a fraction of the greed Nexon is guilty of. Most of the stuff you buy in LaTale is permanent, (including clothes,) and if you get the puzzles to work (their rates of success are reasonable) they're also permanent. Compare that to Maple, where most Cash Shop expires in 3 months. A lot of stuff that's NXed in Maple, such as SP resets, are sold through in-game currency in LaTale. Also, I think the skill trees are waaaaaaaaaay more developed in LaTale. You have more skills to look forward to than in Maple, plain and simple.

While I don't want to play a Maple-like grindfest game myself at this point, I think if people like the Maple concept, they can't go wrong with LaTale. It's still starting out, but once it gets rolling I don't think Maple will be able to compete with it.

I got up to an 84 templar and really the main way to level is just to keep doing quests, unlike maple they give a sizable chunk of exp and until late 50's/early 60's chances are you'll have levelled again before you even finish them all. After that you need to grind a bit more but its still not too bad.

I much dislike quests. ;-;
Hmmm maybe I can find a guide that tells me which ones to do first and the easiest that give the most EXP.

Just do the quest as they become available. Quest for your level all give great exp and rewards. They will also lead you to new areas and show you monsters that are good exp for your level.

I played when it was first released, but I quit due to massive lag. I was lagging so much I'd just die of pot lag, nevermind not being able to catch ropes, walk/run when I wanted, or attack at the correct time in the correct direction.

Paraphrasing someone from HS forums, in La Tale, it's more like press button -> wait several seconds -> receive bacon.

I did have a lot of fun with all the quests, though.

I don't like the potion system. It's really weird...

If the lag has improved in the past several months for those of us on the East Coast, please let me know. Biggrin

I myself don't feel any lag, but I am in the central USA. (Texas)
I agree I do not like potions that have cooldowns, but I guess it promotes partying with healers.

Lag has been greatly reduced since La Tale's release. On the West Coast, I do not get any lag, except for a rare lag spike.

I just downloaded La Tale today, took an hour and then another 90 minutes to patch. lol

...anyway when I try to play it says "server connection failed". Are the servers down or is there a problem on my end?

Help would be appreciated.

Oh, I'm in Australia...has my country been blocked?

Server should be fine, never heard of that problem.
As much as I hate saying it,
ask the helpdesk.
This is Global LaTale so it should be open to you.

I don't know what might be wrong, sorry. There was some server maintenance but I don't know when cause I didn't play for a few days.

Now, possibly great news, at least for people in Europe...

http://latale.test.aeriagames.com/

LaTale Europe CBT is about to start! I'm going to give it a shot, and if I lagg less and if it's more fun than OGP LaTale I'm going to stay there. I really hope they enable character transfer though, that would be great. If not, I'm going to make a Blader.(In OGP I'm going Gunslinger, but the chances that I ever get there aren't that big with this popping up right now.)

I tried La Tale from a recommendation from a friend. I didn't really enjoy it too much.

I had some issues, thinking back, with the jump system as well - it seemed really clunky, and I'm not sure if this was lag or not. I didn't lag with anything else, though. You also don't really have much jumping ability to speak of xD

The jumping IS weird.
I've heard from other people and lurking on forums that on kLT and jLT it is a lot smother.
It does work better than it did, but jumping to rope and some random jumps just feels weird some times. :X
6 days until Engineer release.
