lol Cygnus DPS
#1
[Image: cygnu.png]

Preliminary numbers, because I'm not sure about how everything Cygnus-related works yet. Shortly after taking screenshots I accidentally closed Excel without saving. Now I have about 20 minutes of work to redo.

By buffs I mean SE and SI. Soul Masters are clearly overpowered to a ridiculous extent (note: Brandish hits 2 monsters and outdamages everything else) while the other Cygnus classes are appropriately strong compared to 13x Adventurers.

Edit: Oops I forgot to include base crit on Windbreaker Hurricane damage, disregard their lowness. Update: should say 37,296 and 63,690.

Is this level 120 DPS?

lol @ Hurricane+SE. It's NLs all over again, but even more so.

Yeah, I made my own DPS charts months ago.... their DPS is extremely high for lvl120's! Smile

However you forgot to add applied elemental damage (125%) (holy and lightning). Especially for Strikers, there are quite a lot of lightning weak bosses in gMS.

Oh, and throw in some Onyx apples for fun... Tongue

It's just a modified version of the level 200 calc. You can put in Onyx Apples if you want. I can't upload it right now and I'm still working on fixing it, so I decided to upload a screenshot. I didn't forget to include the elemental damage. See where it says "Soul Charge ON"? If you flip it to Holy weak it'll say 150% instead of 120%.

lol actually no, a Hero will outdamage a Soul Master by level 140 and hit 3 monsters instead of 2 to boot. This is without MW and the Soul Master having Echo.

But then the Soul Master pulls the Soul Runner trick and the Hero still gets pwned Tongue.

Just wondering, since I can't see it anywhere, is this with averageish equips, perfect equips or what?

I put it on classic, so it's with the 60%ed equips. I just finished redoing the stuff I forgot to save, and I'll try to upload the spreadsheet when I get home today so the whole thing is available.

Hm, 120 Soul Masters outdamage ~164 Heroes on a single Holy-weak monster...~146 if the Hero has 19 MW. Still only hits 2 monsters.

Edit: Uh, might be 2-3 levels off on those numbers.

Question, why are the numbers for Meteo and Ifrit (as well as the word Ifrit) in red?

Ah, it denotes Fire element? Shouldn't Fire Strike be red too, then?

Where do you get the holy element? I thought Isaac had said that the soul charge was neutral.

Also, I wonder for SE on strikers, is it like with buccaneers that it adds an extra 100% out of nowhere? not sure how you did the calculation, but remember they have critical punch that has no need for stun, so it applies to bosses. That jump on damage with SE activated doesn't seem as big as it should be for a class that has inherent critical.

Correct me if any of this is wrong. I'm doing this off the top of my head.

Critical punch = 40% * 100% = 40%
Critical punch + SE = (40% + 15%) * (100% + 140%) = 132%

Barrage + 2FF + Critical punch = (230% + 40%) * 10 + (270% + 40%) * 2 = 3220%
Barrage + 2FF + Critical punch + SE = (230% + 132%) * 10 + (270% + 132%) * 2 = 4424%

4424/3220 = 1.33x damage
63487/45158 = 1.41x damage

The extra 0.09x accounted for by SI. Sounds right.

Every person that actually has a Soul Master has attested to Soul Charge being Holy elemental.

A ~38% damage increase with SE doesn't seem big to you? They do have higher % attacks, so SE's +140% isn't as big a difference.

No, it hits two. Soul Masters only get 20 brandish.
