[MapleWatch Leaf Brigade]
#1
Just received this today:

 Spoiler

I guess being a loyal, legit customer for 3 years who has spent over $3000 and at least 1000 hours playing Nexon games isn't enough to even be considered for Round 2 of the application process. Sad to know I can get into the honors college at UW Madison but not past Round 1 of an MMORPG corporation's application process.

I'm just wondering how they chose who made it through. Must have a really big dart board.

In any case, congratulations to those who did, especially those who deserve it.

There is no room for you on the legion of hene-hoes, ex-hackers and Basilers that are likely to get in. Sorry.

This comparison made me grin. I didn't get in either, but it's ok, since I pretty much lost interest when I realized I can't help out my own server. As long is that don't put dumbf'uck Leaf Brigade people in Scania, I'll be happy.

...I don't think the amount of NX you spent should have any bearing on whether you'd be included. I don't expect any special treatment because I've spent what, $250? over someone who hasn't spent any.

However, I do think that you would've made a good MapleWatch. What a shame Stunned

I completely agree about the money issue; the only reason I bring it up is because as life goes on you discover just how much corruption money buys, no matter how good people may be. That being said, perhaps I would have felt worse getting in knowing they picked solely on NX spenders, but I guess it would have been nice to know that they appreciate my business and dedication.

Whatever. Good luck to everyone who made it through! If you're competent enough to know of SouthPerry, post intelligent replies on it's forums, and contribute to the flow of information and discussion both on and off the game, you definitely deserve to make it through. Another congratulations to SP members who made it :]!

"we will are currently unable to accept you into this program at this time."

Smooth as always, Nexon.

As for the program, I'm betting it's going to be Tespia all over again.

I got the same e-mail.. I've been wondering about what happened to my e-mail for a while.. and today I got that. Oh well. I probably wouldn't have been a nice MapleWatch Leaf Brigade member anyway.

I'll try to sign up the next time though, if there will ever be one. Oh, and I also played for three years.

@ Joe: Why "Tespia all over again"? What do you mean with that?

I think he means that people will abuse it and not do what they're supposed to do. I.E. in Tespia instead of reporting glitches and such, people Pineappleed around

Got an e-mail like that about a month or two ago, almost a week after applying.

I don't think any good people are going to get in...

They're looking for the most Neutral people it seems, who seem to have legal documents along with them (Drivers License, etc). Any amount of spending money won't get you something that puts their revenue on the line at a certain point.

Eh, we'll just have to see soon enough.

At least they've replied to you. Perhaps as a consequence of filling out the application at the very opening of them, I've not even recieved as much as a reply to tell me I've not been chosen.

Most of the mature, competent players who could've actually helped the community won't get accepted. The few that do manage to get in won't be able to compete against the tons of inept idiots that somehow got accepted, and eventually Nexon will have to close down the project because of abuse.

I didn't get accepted and I think it's because I was actually being honest and admitted that I had played a private server. Let's see how badly this turns out because there is a lot of potential for abuse in this system.
