GMS leaving asian content aside?
#21
I don't like world tour because the monsters often seem odd to me. Not just their designs, but a lot of the time their animations and such, mostly in signapore and Masteria (I'm counting masteria because it's original content.) Truckers have a long death animation and it has a very fast magic attack. The same with MP3 monsters. Wind Raiders have a long, very flashy death. In KMS, they just try to make things simple looking and it works well, while the other versions try to top it by making things look "flashy and cool."

Well.. the only "world tour" areas I'd like to have are Ulu City and Malaysia. They're soo cool..

i would like to have Ulu city and Malasya, but i believe if GMS keep that actual patern we will never see those places. that include neo Tokyo too..., i am not complaining about GMS, but is kinda err... we do have few new towns to explore atm but the last area released was cwkpq pt 2, without quests or anything... and time temple (without maker, and a hard area even for high lvls). so i guess GMS would gain with some new areas and bosses that already exist out there and could actualy work to everyone =]

People who think World Tour is useless are forgetting Himes, Anego, and all the great scroll quests in Showa. Hurt

Warriors (cept DKs who can go to Typhons) would have a really hard time getting to 120 without Himes... Not to mention, priests would have literally nowhere to train from 80-105-ish, from when MP3 gets slow until they can leech at Newts/Skeles from 4th jobbers, since all the people they could party with have run off to solo spots in Masteria at those levels. =P

The thing is, singapore is and isn't a world tour. It is based off a real place, but it doesn't show the crappyness of a world tour. And no, siam sucks ass. Both areas do. Floating market barely has a purpose, and the only purpose of golden temple is the boss, which is so crazy it is stupid. To get Taipei, we have to get the rest of formosa, which loses purpose after the quests. And china is just a piece of crap. Japan has the most purpose, I wouldn't mind getting more of that and getting some of formosa, but leave siam and floating market out of it.

And just as a statement, the cool areas you talk about are the content you get after having about 2 or 3 crappy patches: not worth it.

me too.... Stunned
also I think the reason Korea removed world tour was either they got sued or It's part of a master plan to Make a new world call'd Earth and after we kill the black magician to unleash....

......No

Just no.

While world tour areas haven't come yet, that doesn't quite mean Nexon has forgotten about it. They have much more important things to add that are important to the Maple Storyline like Time Temple and Cygnus. That's probably why we haven't seen any worldtour updates.

..and I hope we will keep not seeing any. They don't have a purpose as stated before and they don't contribute at all to the storyline. The only reason because I want Malaysia and Ulu City are the high-leveled monsters with "good" EXP (more maps with good monsters), the BGMs, the nice-looking areas and the Malaysia Bosses for the Scarlion Hat.

I could also say I want Neo Tokyo for the 10 attack earrings.

The World Tour areas don't seem to be bad, at least not the ones jMS has. I was hoping for more World Tour areas, it's just at the moment I want things like Mu Lung PQ, Maker and Cygnus even more. It seems after those we don't have much to look forward to other than events and the Aran which we shouldn't even get for about a year.

You could say the same about masteria. Although it has it's own story line it doesn't contribute to the main storyline at all.

I think the reason why Nexon A. has not released new Exclusive areas is because most players don't want them. They're just trying to keep the current players and attract new ones by releasing main content. I personally don't care about exclusive areas except for the ones from MSEA, which I consider are pretty cool and usefull

^^ EDIT:
The 10 att earrings were a glitch fixed the next week after releasing Neo Tokyo. I keep my belief Neo Tokyo would be a great area if any other publisher (Nexon A, Asiasoft) reduced the attack of all it's monsters

The only World Tour that I want it to come to GMS is Taipei 101, the HP/EXP ratio is so good that it looks broken. Goggleemoticon

World Tour areas are great time wasters. You can't just keep releasing non-stop main stream. People will get bored, and I don't know what happened to the spirit of exploration in this community. People used to love getting new areas, no matter what kind. Now all they do is cry for high-level content, and some functional additions. Granted, these updates are needed, and we've been getting them.

Given that fact, I don't see why they can't throw in a World Tour area here and there in between major patches. I would love to see Kaede Castle, and Neo Tokyo at some point, as well as many of the other WT areas. I don't care how hard they may be to the majority, as far as I'm concerned I'm ready for any of them, and my group of friends can handle them just fine. If Nexon just provides content for us to reach end game faster, I'll just quit. I want that end game content, but I want some fun too.

It doesn't matter though, no one is ever happy with anything we get, and the funny thing is, as 4th job came in, people cared less about anything that won't get them to 200. With the addition of leeching from ultimates... no wonder no one has any interested in anything anymore. That's the only thing I don't like about my F/P's Meteor... Also, in case people don't get what I mean but the first statement in this paragraph, I know you may be happy when we first get it, blah blah blah, but I just mean it's never enough.

The only world tour areas even worth mentioning are the Zipangu parts, and even those are gonna be overwhelmingly useless given how difficult they are to reach/survive in. All the other ones are so bad they make Omega Sector look like top tier content. Seriously, there's nothing to explore in Floating Market. You'll get there, in 5 minutes you'll have reached every map, in 20 you'll have done every quest, and then you will NEVER set foot there again because all the maps are horrible and the monsters are weak as hell and there's no reason to see it. Same for Shanghai. You can say you want to "explore" it but when a level 10 archer can reach every map in the town without risks it should be a little red flag that it's not a very worthwhile area.

Or maybe in contrast, that one chinese temple place where all the monsters have extremely poor hp/exp ratios and extreme damage...
