Class Identification - what about Adventurers?
#1
Well, everyone (at least most of us) knows that Cygnus and Aran characters have this special "banner" sort of thing behind their character. But Adventurers don't.

Of course, the "banners" were meant to differentiate the Cygnus class from the Adventurers at the start, but now that the Arans have it too, shouldn't we Adventurers get one as well? Goggleemoticon

EDIT: It's the one behind your character in the login screen.

We do have one but I just don't have the picture. From what I've seen, when you make a new character in KMS you'll have to choose between the 3 sets of classes then the sub classes for Cygnus or Adventurers.

That's how you recognize an adventurer from Aran and Knighto of Cygnus. That it doesnt have something behind him.

it's a medal, not something behind them o_o

however, i do feel that adventuers do need one too, since the koc one gives some HP/MP boost (50 hp/mp at level 10, 100/100 at level 30, dunno about 70 and 120).

In fact, with the Aran patch came Adventurer medals, too, with the same stats as their Cygnus counterparts.

So Adventurers get a medal of their own?

So what's the problem?

That's not what I meant. I meant those that appear behind each Cygnus/Aran character in character selection during login.

Anyone who gets what I mean, could you post a picture or something? Goggleemoticon I can't seem to find one.

But since both Arans and Cygnus have the gate/chair looking thing is it necessary for Adventurers to have something? They're the ones without and as such they're different. No need to conjure up a thing for them to.

The reason why they get them is because they're a part of an organization, while adventurers are not. The only way adventurers are related in the story are they can interact, but they can all have their own goals and have no real leader. All the arans are from the same town, and want to fight the black magician. All of Cygnus wants to fight the black magician and they all have the same leader.

If Nexon were a more polished company I’m sure they would have added something. But to me it seems like they don’t much care for the little things like that. But I can’t say I’m really bothered about it myself since I spend about 1 second on that screen.

Ohh that chair stuff?
yes hes right cygnus and aran have those..
idk about adventurers but nexon korea doesnt realise maple is really unbalanced now adventurers are now "low grade"(lol maker terms) and kms makes new stuff more for aran and more stuff for aran..
i think we should get new tamable monster for lv50 adventurers.
medals were made for adventurers
now rings are new..

Yes, that's what I meant. Just thought it would be "fair" for us to get it too, since we don't get the "special treatment" Cygnus and Arans get Stunned

I like how everyone disregarded my logical explanation Hurt

I think it would be neat if the intro for adventurers had a little more backstory to it. All I know about them from the intro is that they're dudes that showed up one day wearing green fruit costumes. Rolleyes

Being adventurers is what it means... No special treatment at all. Leave the fancy log structures to the posh and the hero frozen in time.

Yes! Thank you! Adventurers are simply people who left home to go on an adventure, which is why you appear in a small town on an island, not with any flashy backstory, or a cutscene, or anything. You're just a normal person going on an adventure.

Aran's & Cygnus are the Mary Sue's of the MapleVerse. Biggrin

Alright, I get it. But I'm seeing this from the point of a new player - if future classes were to be added, he'd be wondering why the Adventurers are the only ones without this special identification banner-thingy.

Erm...

Level 10, Level 30, Level 70, Level 120, Level 200 Medal of Warrior/Magician/Thief/Archer/Pirate\

Simple?

Except you can't even create a KoC without already having an Adventurer so the only way they'd even notice the difference is if they had both an Aran and one of the original classes and frankly do you really think anyone's going to be kept awake at night obsessing over this? Or even create one of everything and sit there staring at them on the login screen to begin to question this?

One of my characters has a background. One of them doesn't. It's the end of the world!
