Attack Speed Reference
Dusk Wrote:Expectancy bias? They should be the same speed.

I guess that's what I was thinking. I remember while testing I thought that asuras were 5, meaning they would be 3 and dark mates would be 2 with booster.

KaidaTan Wrote:Has anyone figured out a speed on Octopus and Wrath of the Octopi yet? I need to add it to my calculator, but it seems much faster than Phoenix is. Maybe i'll just put it at 1500ms until we can get a real number. The fact that he only lasts 40 seconds at max doesn't help.
Real close. 1530ms.

Kabanaw Wrote:I'm confused about something. During the anniversary, I had a Dark Mate and an Asura Dagger. Since Asura daggers have a speed of 4, and dark mates have 3, they should have the same speed with booster. When I did the regular attack with both, the dark mate seemed to be going faster. Anyone have an explanation for this, or was I just thinking things?

When you boost past Fastest(2) the animation continues to speed up, but the delay between attacks is the same (i guess this is what is capping the speed... 600ms "cooldown" on regular skills).

I can see the difference between SI/non-SI TT on my NL, but the number of attacks per minute doesn't change.

It's updated for 0.59 too.

The link appears to be broken o.O

Added Cygnus scum, for those that are interested.

^Thanks, was looking for it.

Also it would be nice if you separate cygnus from adventurers, easier to read.

Wind Walk cast speed would be useful. I'm assuming it's 240ms, like Dark Sight? My friend tells me that Wind Break seems slower than his regular attack though. No clue about the legitimacy of this claim, but could you look into it too?

It feels as if a Blaze Wizard's Fire Arrow is faster than the F/P counterpart with Booster 2. Can anyone else confirm this?

Wind Break has a sort of delay. If you hold down an arrow key and your Break key, you'll move a few steps between casts. Chances are, Wind Walk's cast time is the same as the delay.

@ Tikey: Two of my friends claim that DW Power Strike is faster than the Adventurer equivalent. Anyone know if that's true?

A quick look in Character.wz would (unofficially) answer some of these questions.

No, it can't be confirmed because it's precisely as fast as the original Fire Arrow.

Yes, it is slower. It also has a constant delay when you spam it.

Um. As far as I can tell, it has a negligible effect, if any, on attacks. I macroed Double Shot, Wind Walk, Double Shot and the second one came 600ms after the first at weapon speed 2. Which is, as you'll note, the same exact thing as the attack time for Double Shot.

Maybe I'm just not using it correctly.

False.

That is very interesting. I'll have my friend try it out when he levels and confirm.

How about Brandish + FA? Is it the same as FA + Any other combo or a whole different species?

Yes, what would be the time for brandish+FA?
Ex: would it be [Speed 6 + booster] = 750+510?

It doesn't seem to me that it would be that slow, the FA on brandish feels much faster than FA on SB/PS.

I'm not sure if anyone besides me actually wants to know this, but can I request the casting times of buffs/summons? Namely, I'm interested in Octopus. I don't know if there are any others that people might find interesting or useful, but I'd like to find this out to see if it's worth taking the time to cast Octopus or just straight attacking.

My guess would be, since brandish is 0.03secs longer than ps/sb, so let say FA cuts in 0.2sec before ps/sb finishes, it would cut in 0.23 sec before brandish finishes, making it seem faster.

I would like to know the casting time of certain buffs too.

If that Brandish thing were true:
Brandish, no FA: 613.33% per second
Brandish with FA 100%: 622.81% per second
Brandish with FA 60%: 619.02% per second
DPS change: 100.93% the DPS as Brandish without FA.

Kinda crappy if you ask me. I guess Dawn Warriors should leave it at 21.

Leaving FA at 21 is bad. You'd be better off just putting those points into sprite and iron body.

Even tho FA doesnt help brandish much, it helps PS more and doesnt activate with your mob skills. It's really good for killing off stragglers and killing goby houses, for example.

Speed Faster 2
In Triple Throw, it is listed as 600ms(-210ms). Why is the 210ms deducted?
Is Triple Throw 600ms or 390ms?
