Bizarre Monster Book Error

I don't think picking up the new cards messes up your monster book at all. My Skelegon cards say I have 1 even though I have them maxed, but when I found yet another Skelosaurus monster card yesterday it deleted itself because I apparently already have them maxed. Meaning the game knows that I still have maxed Skele cards, but the monster book is simply showing me the wrong information.

Most likely your monster book data is stored as a series of bytes and read in a particular order. The client side display data hasn't been updated, so it's spitting out unpredictable numbers that don't match what you actually have.

Something similar happened to me, but it was because I hadn't relogged since my last card. When I next relogged, the card that disappeared was marked as max.

This just happened to me but I'd like for someone else with the shuffle to check it out.

If you DO NOT have mossy snail yet, go pick up a DARK green card. I picked up a Stone Golem and then relogged to check my shuffle and nothing happened. But when I pick up any other colour of card it happens. So I wonder if there's a "safe" zone in between Mossy Snail and Tree Rod that won't cause your book to reshuffle.

something similar happened to me on first day of patch, i picked up a chief oblivion card and i looked in my book and i already had a medal for it, and thats when i noticed my boss cards were all messed up.., only boss cards though, no others. and notice that chief oblivion guardian is that last card before the bosses...

i looted a Eye of Time card, and nothing happened to my book o.o

This happened to me too, but for some strange reason, it fixed itself the very same day.

Well something weird happened to me last night. Something I'm very not happy about. I was hunting Regret Trainees. I already have their card. I got it a day or two earlier. My book has already been screwed and re-screwed several times (I have a lot of TT cards), but at this time everything in my Black tab was displaying as 1 card. So when I'm hunting, I find another Regret Trainee. When I loot it, it says it was not added to my book.

- I know for a fact I have only looted one other of those cards.
- The glitched book was not even displaying it as having five of them.
- Even the glitched book itself showed I only had one.

Why did this happen? Anyone else experience this? So now I've missed out on a card that there is absolutely no reason I should have. Annoyed all over again.

Oh, and to add. It's not a problem with TT cards stacking or anything. I have three Eye of Time cards and two Regret Monks. Those all added successfully. Of course, they don't show their proper number anymore...but still.

I think I read someone else on SW had the same problem with a TT card drop.

Good thing I'm not training/collecting or I'd be going ballistic as well.

i wouldn't mind this glitch but... i cant reloot any cards of any enemy that i had previously finished... so im stuck with like 4 enemies at 1 card until they fix this :x

I was able to reloot a Pap card and get the buff, despite having 5 prior to the shuffle.

did it increase your pap card count? i can loot skele and pap cards and get the buff, but the card number stays at one... :|

So any news if Nexon fixed the book in the server maintenance? My book is still shuffled but I was just wondering if people's books were still getting further pineappled.

They're not going to fix it because they don't care. They haven't even announced anything and have continued letting this glitch go on for over two weeks. If that's not proof they don't care then I don't know what is.

I've given up all hope that Nexon would ever do anything positive for their customers unless it has to do with their own financial gain. Instead of fixing glitches in the last two server checks all they've done is added more NX-only items. Now they're too busy focusing on more things we don't need instead of what we do need which is for things to work. as. intended. It seems like Pepe's response in this topic earlier was meant to be nothing more than a placebo. I guess it worked 'cause I felt a lot better for a couple of days and told everyone who's been affected that trusty ol' pepe was working on it. Guess not. That Turtle mount cover was totally more important than this. Interestingly enough, JMS had this exact same problem and fixed it apparently almost immediately.

I wrote another huge rant about Nexon but deleted it because it doesn't matter. Nexon will never change. Our monster books will never be fixed, 'cause there's no money to be made in doing that.

ok, but here's the dilemma with that: If it's displaying Leviathan as having 5 cards, and then I get a Leviathan card (even though I don't really have 5 leviathan), what happens?

Following the true spirit of the game Nexon then bans you for hacking or something great like that.

I'm gonna get banned again but hopefully I can guilt them into doing something.

He said they stopped the shuffle from happening. That's fixing it... in a way. Not the way I'd like it to be fixed, though.

Has anyone considered trying to take advantage of this shuffling?

For me, it messed up a couple of my PQ bosses and took all but one of my Pap cards. Maybe if I were to refill my Pap cards then try shuffling again, it'd have a vague possibility of landing some more in the cards it mixed up. Eventually, I'd hit some kind of wall where there'd be too many cards total, so the shuffle wouldn't occur any longer.

Uhm... Interesting. So, you pick, say, a Papulatus card, when it shows 1, despite it having 5 before, and even if you get the buff, no cards move or are added at all?
