I agree that they should do a roll back and fix the problem within the next few days, and while they're at it they should fix how many white scrolls are coming out of the gachapon. There's no way the amount that it's handing out is normal. That'll take care of the over abundance of white scrolls that just entered the servers and this card shuffling error at the same time.
We have no way of knowing if that was intentional (white scrolls) in the effort to deflate them.

My logic was hardly faulty, and I find it interesting how taking Nexon's side in this got me a warning. I was in no way trolling, I'm dead serious. Nexon is being bashed into the ground from a mistake that hardly could have been caught through testing, even with the test server up and running, no one here could say they would have found this.

Except that you forget that it's not OUR responsibility to make sure everything works properly. Nexon made that clear when they shut down Tespia (which I CAN honestly say I would've found this because all I do is hunt cards and making sure the new cards dropped properly would've been on the top of my list if I were a tester.)
Our anger is further justified in that it took me a day and a half and a public call-out to get any sort of address from Nexon staff, even though this was pointed out fairly early on the day of the patch. Even worse is that IT'S STILL GOING ON. They should've shut the game down immediately after this was discovered, removed the cards/ability to collect cards/PUT UP A DAMN NOTICE. If you're aware of a bug it is your responsibility to at the very least CONTAIN IT.
Basically Nexon fucked up, Nexon hasn't taken any responsibility for fucking up, and Nexon is allowing their pineapple up to continue affecting their players. Why do you feel the need to protect them, again?

they didnt shut down the game when the guild hack thing happened, like 99% of broan guild got hacked, they didnt shut down the game when BF was wrongfully banning peoples, or when cwk maps were banning peoples, they didnt shut down the game when peoples abussed bf, they didnt shut down the game when they f'cked up with pirate skill(and took them 1 month or more to fix it), and now u expect then to shut down the game coz a monster book?
for sure u dont know nexon yet

Take a deep breath!
Surely you don't expect them to take care of business do you? If there's anything I've learned since I started playing almost 3 years ago, it's that Nexon will inevitably break SOMETHING in the patch (seemingly unrelated to anything else). And even if they are made aware of it, it won't get fixed right away, unless it impedes the amount of NX they can get from the folks who play.
Do you have a right to be angry? Probably. But there's not a whole lot you can do about it at this point.

yeah, after 4 years playing maple, i learned i can expect everything from nexon, my char is glitched for the past 1 year, yeah, 1 f'ucking year, and im not like bashing nexon in every post i make, sure im kinda disapointed, but what can i do? waste my time bashing nexon? nah i have others thing to do
EDIT: another thing, they changed skill after i hit 200, so i couldnt know we would have mw30, heros will would be max lvl 6, and HH would be 20secs cooldown, so i used all my sp points and didnt max HH, i sent a ticket to nexon, they reply me saying they can modify the skill anytime they want, and they wont compensate for that, so i will need do spend over $120 if i wanna have max mw.
be happy they just messed up with ur monster book, and not with ur ap or sp....

Problem here being that I don't care about my ap or sp.
And yeah, I know Nexon has issues with failing to address their errors but a record of failure isn't an excuse to continue failing. They need to step up and I'm not going to stand down until they do because this is an unacceptable way for a business to behave. Especially when instead of fixing/addressing their errors, they continue soliciting their customers for money. As I've said before in another thread, when a company fucks up they shouldn't get paid, but somehow Nexon has found a way to benefit from their failure which reassures them that failing is okay.

nexon have too many hene hoar to keep their business going, i cant marry for the past 1 year, i have an open ticket for the past 10 months making me unable to log another ticket, so if anything happen to my account, im f'ucked up, im already used to it, nexon will never do anything right, if u dont like, just stop playing, nexon isnt telling you: YOU MUST PLAY MAPLE STORY, if u are not happy, quit.

Anyways, back on topic, my book was messed up, too. It seems that all the cards moved over 3 slots to the right. My maxed King Slime and maxed Mushmom cards moved to maxed Alishar and maxed Old Fox...Old Fox? I don't want that crap, I want my Mushmom back.
The King Slime moving to Alishar isn't too bad, though.

I've been thinking about it and I think I've figured out (to a point) what's causing the shuffle. Some people are unaffected and that's what's brought me to this conclusion.
I believe that the new cards (all of them) are conflicting with a single old card (pre v.72) that all of the people affected by the shuffle have collected. So if your book has registered a single copy of [erroneous card, not yet determined] and then any of the new cards are collected, the next time you log in the erroneous card conflicts with the new card, and therefore sets off a reaction that causes cards to be placed at random until a new card is collected, and the process begins again.

If you're right about this, I think it has to be one of the PQ boss cards. It seems like everyone that has complained has complained about their PQ boss cards because of the leaf thing with Tienk.

i dont think so.
to me it looks more like by getting one of the new cards you sort of insert a new page into a book.
lets say your book is 200 pages long. if you stick in a new page at 75: everything before is unaffected, but each page after gets relabeled as a page 1 higher. the book still contains the same info, except the info shifts 1 page higher after the inserted page.
think of each page number as a certain card, and the info each page contains is how many you have.
the 2nd part: where does the last # info go when everything gets shifted forward by 1? when you pick up a new card ill bet that the next time you log in, whatever you had on Leviathan (or the highest card in your book if it isnt Leviathan) ends up on the card you last picked up. the end effect is the card you just picked up seems randomized because you dont know where its # info came from (when its really whatever you had on leviathan. or... w/e is your last card).
bombs, or anyone, try to get a new boss card. i think it wont mess up your book. (if you can :/). damn my lack of compsci knowledge.

Except that the shuffle isn't following any pre-determined pattern as far as I have seen. I thought it did, but I've intentionally shuffled my book 5 more times just to see if I could notice a pattern and it seems to be completely random, which to me indicates the AI just scrambling to put everything somewhere because it's confused.
edit: Assuming my theory is correct (not saying it is) I'm compiling a list to find the possible erroneous cards by finding out who has common cards and have been shuffled.
Here is my list based on my book and someone from the Nexon forums.

That's not how a computer works, though. Nexon's server won't "scramble to put everything somewhere" unless it's programmed to do that when something goes wrong. More probably, it doesn't "know" that something's going wrong at all. It'll blissfully take the numbers it receives and plop them into monster book slots in a pre-specified order.
But the order is wrong.

Once you get infected it seems like it stays with you no matter what. Those who aren't infected can pick up the old cards perfectly fine.
