Heaven is full of potheads
#1
Hmm...this idea just came to me, so haven't fully developed it yet -
Is it possible that "heaven" is an alternate dimension (in which case rare scenarios could occur where people are able to travel from heaven to earth) where the air contains enough trace hints of a hallucinogen or similar substance that alters the mind in a "pleasant" manner and simultaneously grants the body extremely potent regenerative capabilities (immortality)? Hell could be the exact same part of this alternate universe, only experienced as a "bad trip."

Anyways, just bouncing this idea off you guys.

Note - this is NOT a discussion about God or religion, please do not take this topic into such places. It is simply a theory based on 2 assumptions (which aren't up for discussion in this thread)

1. There is a "heaven" and "hell"
2. Heaven is "happy" and hell is "miserable"

Assumptions are the basis of religion.

Erm...I'm trying not to discuss religion itself, just the possibility of death being the transfer from one reality to the other. One filled with hallucinogenic air.

it could also be that this life is a dream that a butterfly is having.

And so is heaven.

No paradise for us. Our souls remain around. We reincarnate. KEKEKE

I LOVE THAT FILM (i like seeing plays/movies of the classics then just reading them)!!! I saw it in my English Lit 4 class back in high school.. It's funny Tongue1Tongue1Tongue1Tongue1

But yes I do see your point actually..Or you know, we can all be like Lewis Carol (way out of the box there) too ^_~...

I think heaven = utopia
hell = nothingness, just endless blackness

rofl, Dusk said it best, really. How on earth can we observe or debate your assumptions without turning to religious opinions or beliefs? Why create a thread if your assumptions aren't up for discussion; are we to enter, view, and then leave this thread with only your mind's ramblings (Which plenty disagree with) stuck in our heads for the next five minutes?

I don't think so, Tim.

Because religion is only part of what I'm discussing. Most religions have some sort of dual afterlives, which I'm trying to explain as alternate dimensions. It's more of a way out there quantum physics questions.
