I heard the spawn rate was 36 hours for a leftie from friends, but after killing one, and coming back 35 hours, 50 minutes before, i waited 25 minutes and found nothing. There were no bombs in the map, so nothing was hindering the spawnage.
I went on to track another pianus, and it wasnt 36 hours either.
What is the actual spawn rate for a leftie? And does it vary at all (ie mushmom)

Probably varies like every other goddamn boss in the game. Tracking them is pointless.

It's not worthless to track them. I know some people who successfully tracked Pianus spawn times.
They do vary, though: I'd guess as much as +/- 1 hour for a spawn time as long as 36 hours.

This happens to every monster spawn that's handled client-side (as in the spawn time is listed in the data) as a opposed to server-side (blue notice usually, mostly area bosses). Every time any person enters the map or does something in the map, the time it takes each monster to spawn increases. Left pianus's spawnrate is indeed 36 hours in the data.
Offtopic: I heard you were killing all the piani in windia D:

If you've ever been in a PQ on 2 computers at once (or any other map with a timer) you'll notice that the times are not all the same.
And the game seems to wait until they're all at 0:00 to respond (by ending the PQ, what have you)
I've noticed up to about 10 seconds difference on minidungeons, if the game keeps tacking those on to the boss spawn timers then it's possible that over 36 hours, with maybe dozens or hundreds of people trying to find Pianus, it would add up to an extra hour or two before it respawns.
