Big priced items in the mts
#1
I've always wondered, but never really found a good answer, about high-priced items in the mts. I'm talking about things priced around 15-20k+ nx. I've even seen things for 70k or more. But are there people actually willing to pay that much? Or to earn nx through mts and then buy something that high?

The pole is not what you would do. It's if you think others would. You might buy from it, but think you're the only one who would do it. On the other hand, you might think that's a stupid idea, but think others would it. There are also those that merchant in the mts, or those who might be desperate, so if you think they'd sell because of that, then put yes or no accordingly.

I've got things that are worth quite a bit in the mts, but I want to know if I'm wasting my time, as it's not easy to tell if something didn't sell because no one saw it, someone put the same up for cheaper, or because no one would buy something that high.

Extremely high-priced items are bought in MTS all the time.

Don't forget, there are a massive number of people who merch NX and have millions on their account. Spending excesses of 1m NX or higher isn't necessarily uncommon, especially when it comes to end-game equipment.

Let's not forget GM 1h sword scrolls, each going for upwards of 300k NX, bottoming at 75k NX each. When you have several billion mesos, translating it into NX to buy something isn't particularly uncommon. They could just buy a bunch of 10-20k nx items, sell them, and stockpile the NX. Then, ofc, you have people that would actually use real money to just flat out purchase the items.

People buy items in those price-ranges all the time.

Your item might not have sold because it was overpriced (you can search for similar items and see what the asking price is), or because it has only a small target audience and will take a while for the right person to see it.

I haven't put them in just yet, because I wanted to see if it was worth it or not. Guess it is. People really are willing to pay lots for things...

I wonder if people would be willing to pay to be able to pay to be able to get the option to pay to pay again. Rolleyes

Merchanting in MTS isn't a bad idea at all to get meso/nx. It can be more difficult depending on your class though, for equipment. Mostly pirates, since no pirate equipment at all is in MTS. Other classes have stuff that can't go in there either, but I don't remember what exactly.

Spears, crossbows, PAs, guns, knuckles, bows, claws, bullets, and stars. There's some exceptions though, like skis and the pumpkin spear.

Usually when you see an item for something like 2,222,222, it's only being stored (the price prevents it from being bought while in storage), or some idiot put it in there.

Pineapple, that would explain why I couldn't find a Knuckle scroll on MTS. Damn it.
