Amount of police cops

Would you feel more safe or would you be worried if more policemen walked around in your city, hometown or area?

Just thought about it, since it's rather interesting:
One may, by removing cops, assume the town is safer. However, if crimes occured frequently, one may be worried.
Vice versa for increasing the amount of cops.


For me, the less amount of cops, the better.

Maybe because I have too many secrets, but I would feel worried. As if they're trying to catch somebody...

Speaking of a ton of cops, 13th East was backed way up yesterday because of this huge accident. There was like 5 cars getting towed away, a car or two still there, one flipped over with the roof missing, a totally fucked up bike...and it prevented me from going into Toys R Us, because of the police cars, and Crime Scene Units... =\
Turns out my Toys R Us doesn't carry 3 month XBL subscriptions...

I feel safer unless I'm in a car.

Safer. I work with a TON of cops, so I tend to be pretty confident in what they can do.

safer, my country is dangerous and we need moar cops.

Cops can get shot too, you know...

Look at it this way...

If you're increasing cops, that implies something bad has happened recently that threatened innocent's safety, and the rise in number of police is engendered to make you feel safer. I mean, you should feel worried if you have no idea why there's an increase in cops but otherwise I don't know why you'd feel that way.

Ehh cops are good guys and if anything when they are present in large numbers they keep my hood safe. It's an increase in army people I would be worried about.

I'm a visible minority. What do you think?

Cops are corrupted here, and they don't take kindly to skateboarders and bikers.

Well, cops would make me feel better, but the cop population exploded, then there would be a problem.

More cops make me more suspicious. Usually where I live, it means they're expecting something, and just by experience, increased cop presence doesn't stop it from happening.

I agree. However, I think it is beacuse bad things are happening more, so they need more cops, which is pretty bad.

Well there's more crimes being committed now then ever.. at least in Florida anyways. So more cops = a good thing. But I have my "heat" everywhere I go now, because so much CRAZY stuff has gone on in broad daylight (rapes, kidnapping, murders etc.). Even in the UPSCALE neighborhoods, stuff has happened... It's ridiculous.. you're not safe anywhere anymore really...
