Hello, Southperry. My name is Kyle, and I'll be your guide through this exciting adventure. This is going to be like a game and a story. It's going to take a lot of work from me and interaction from you, the Southperrians, to make this a fun, enjoyable experience. I'll lay down the intro and basics first:
My idea to do this stems from my love of visual novels and "choose-your-own-ending" books. I'm going to be writing short segments and providing you with options of where you wish to go next. Once an agreement has been made, I will write the next segment based on your choice. Sounds fun, right? It's something that can get everyone involved and bring some life to this section. Plus, I get an excuse to write.
"Rules"
1) After I write a segment, a number of options will be given.
2) Each person may only vote once (per decision), and I'd prefer if you didn't change votes. But you can as long as a decision hasn't been reached yet.
3) Once five-seven people have chosen an option, it will become the agreed upon decision.
4) When you post to vote, sharing comments about why you are making that decision will be appreciated and encouraged. However, it is not required to do so.
5) To add to that, remember you are only one vote. You also have to try getting other people to agree with you or understand your decision if you want the story to go that direction. It can either be a team effort to solve the mystery and get the most from the story, or it can be an adventure to try making the craziest, stupidest decisions and see what happens. Your call.
6) If you do not like my writing or if the story becomes "boring" or "unappealing" to you, then please, don't be rude and, instead, simply cease coming here.
7) Be nice and have fun! I hope you will.

"Things to note/Thoughts from me"
I will be writing this all myself. No outside help. And I will be making it as I go. I haven't thought any of this out, nor do I plan to write any segments ahead of time. It's going to be real-time and ever-changing. The story will be greatly influenced by you, the Southperrians. You decide which direction the story goes. You decide how it changes and grows. Keep in mind, though, that your choices will have consequences. If the protagonist ends up dead, I'll offer previous entries as a reload point.
I plan on making the story focus largely on an underlying mystery. I am not sure what exactly that is yet, but it's the one thing I will try to keep universal to everything, no matter where the story goes. Your main goal should be to find clues about it and, ultimately, solve it. At random times, I may provide clues directly to you or supply you with useful backstory. This story will go on for a very long time, so long as people are interested enough in it to keep me writing. Remember to have fun!

"Introduction"
Our protagonist, Felix Legard, is a confident but often confused individual. He is 20 years of age. With shaggy, soft brown hair and stunning blue eyes, many find his face his most attractive feature. He has a slim build and is not very muscular. What he lacks in strength, however, he makes up in cunning. Felix is intelligent and can often get what he desires through manipulation of others. That said, he still cares for others more than he likes to admit. He lives with his dad during the Summer and lives on his college's campus for the rest of the year. He is currently unemployed. His deepest secret, which he has shared with only one other person, is his curious mind. He knows he is not crazy, but he has many unique voices inside his head that help him make decisions. It also seems his life hides a darker mystery...

Entry 1. June 7, 2009.
It was another average, boring day for Felix Legard. His father, Chad Legard, was already at work. He has to be there early and is always out of the house at 6 AM - way before Felix wakes up. Due to the early departure and late return, he never gets to see much of his dad, though they view their relationship as strong. They figure it has to be, considering what they've been through.
It's 10 AM. The obnoxious buzzing of an alarm clock resonates through the house. Awkwardly and half asleep, Felix hits the OFF button before knocking it to the ground. "Frickin'... That was a good dream," says Felix. After some time in the bathroom, he heads to the kitchen to have a bowl of cereal (his usual, Golden Grahams) and milk. While enjoying those delicious, golden squares, he notices something odd outside the window.
[] Forget it and continue eating breakfast as normal.
[] Stop immediately and go outside to investigate.
[] Finish eating and go outside to investigate.
What are the voices inside Felix's head telling him to do?
