Monster Bookworms

I just discovered that you can double click monsters and the monster book pops up. Is that old news? XD

I'll post my book later too. I've finally decided to hunt them actively now. Since I'm lvl 200 now I don't have to worry about training and spend more time on this My book is not that impressive yet though, but I'm sure it will be some day.

Also, for the ranking, I would suggest to sort it by total # of different cards as that's far more interesting imo. And I'd also change total # of cards to total # of medals, because counting all your cards is quite annoying and tedious lol. And posting how many medals you have would still force you to ss all of your book pages and also, it still gives you a good idea as to who has a higher total # of cards.

And merging the threads seems like a nice idea. The SW thread would be more active if it wasn't posted in a dead section of the forum lol.

I like how it is sorted by the number of total cards, one should be seen as having each individual card hunted, instead of just having someone hunt one of each unique card. Just multiply your number of medals times five, not that hard.

The biggest problem with ranking by uniques is that once someone has them all... then what? We just wait for the next patch, have a race to see who gets all of the new cards and that's it? There's 297 cards in GMS currently, which is eventually going to be met. We can can count out Pink Bean even when Time Temple comes out. Eventually you know someone is going to get one of every card, however, in counting them separately, it keeps a huge open competition that can go on for a VERY long time. And even when new patches come out, it could take months to get entire sets of new cards.

Think of it this way, I've got 550ish cards now (I haven't updated in a couple of days) and I've still got TONS of cards to get. I just did the math and there's 1485 cards to be gotten if you go with sets rather than singles. I've barely covered a third of it.

So yeah, keeping it ranked by totals is the fairest way to do it, even if counting them up is a pain.

(A little tip for counting; screenshot each page and then write tallies beside each row in paint and then add them up and write them down on notepad beside a page/tab number. It makes it all a lot simpler.)

There were advantages to a dead section of a forum, such as letting it keep staying at the top, of course, theres disadvantages, but hopefully lots of people can find it

To be honest I think it'll take a while before someone gets all different cards. Especially with new areas coming out I think it'll be hard to keep up. And in the case where ppl DO tie, you decide the winner by # of total cards of course.
The main reason I'm for it is because it's the way Nexon ranks it (by monster book lvl) and it's also more fun to move from place to place instead of spending dozens of hours at 1 map looking for a card you already have 4 times.

^ You right-click the monster you want as a cover and press 'Set as Cover'. If you want it removed right-click any monster and press 'Remove Cover'.

Anyone have an advice to get Taurospear card? D:
Found 4 Rushbooks, tons of equips and 1k+ horns and still no card. >.<

There aren't any tips for getting cards except 2x drop makes it easier. It's just a matter of luck, you could get one accidently from just killing a monster when passing by, and you could hunt for one card for hours yet not get a single one. The only advice is to don't give up, just kill the fastest you can and don't stop to loot (unless you got a pet to do the job), it will probably make the finding process shorter.

What I mean with tricks are CCing, staying in a certain map etc.
Found another Rush book later, stupid card just won't drop.

Now that the card event is over I can update.
