Movie Gear Solid 4 was one of the very few titles that gave the PS3 it's barely-noticeable edge. By introducing the MGS franchise to the 360, Sony fanboys will have one less exclusive to get an erection over.

Hmm, I'm not that big of a Microsoft fan, however. I like Motion controll... But is that going alittle Far?

Its really limited unless you had like that + Wiimote. Since it has no way of tracking anything other then 1st person/3rd. And in a way.. I don't think anything other then 1st person would be fun with using that.

Also, whats wrong with liking a controller. The Wiimote/Nunchuck/classic and the xbox/360 controllers I like. However, I just think Natal and Wii Motion control are two diffrent things, and two diffrent experiances.

I'm wondering if Nintendo will have anything big. There has been rumors about a new Mario/Zelda game.

Edit.

I'm going to put this out here.

Super.

Mario.

And plus, we don't even know if that IS the true next game in the series. It could be another side game off of the main series, like some of the ones on the cube were, and like portable ops was. (Even if that is on a sony system, it isn't the console ones)
So yeah, we don't know until tomorrow. If it is, you sir are going to wake up on wednesday with a 360 shoved up your ass. =] my ass.
(On a side note, I have to say it is looking like a side-game according to kojima's site. They have enough room for 2 games, and there is 1 already there.)

Rising is a 360 exclusive. If you watched the conference, it was said literally "All games shown after this point are going to be exclusive to xbox 360", I fail to see how you can misinterpret that.
And side games on the GC? It was a remake (of MGS 1) on the GC, not a port.
Not to mention, while Konami is a 3rd party, if they want to release an exclusive to consoles, they can do what they want, and until MGS 4 is announced to be coming to the 360 as well, there is no logical reason they shouldn't have an exclusive on both consoles.

Quote:Super. Mario. Brothers. Wii
That'd suck. 2D platformers have a better home on handheld consoles, super paper mario was only *ok* for a mario game, and thats about as close as I want to a 2d platformer on my home console.
Edit: Though, you might not be far off...

I went and checked what Project Natal was about, and wow, they are basically working on the exact same things that Sony had planned for the PS Eye Rolleyes dont see how its the future and how its gonna make me wanna spend my money on a Xbox when i have a PS3 and dont even own/use the eye. And the reason theres nothing new in it? Sony already had tech demos like the ones they were doing for Project Natal with the eye, they just never decided to go with it.

Why do I get a strong feeling Project Natal won't work like intended? I get the feeling it's gunna be harder to use than it looks. Plus it looks really easy to screw somebody over when they're playing it. All you gotta do is walk in front of them. Rolleyes

Exactly. That's just what it is.

Nintendo got it right with motion control instead of a camera. With the motion control, it's still possible to do other things and play other games. With this, you can only play games that don't require any buttons.

MGS: Rising won't be exclusive to the 360, it will just be on the 360. It is also coming to PS3 and PC.

The technology behind project Natal looks amazing, it seemed really responsive in the on stage demo. But technology is one thing; actually putting it into practical use is another. They will have to come up with something really amazing to not make it totally gimmicky. Why swipe my hands horizontally and vertically to navigate the NXE menu when I can use 1 thumb and an analogue stick?

I don't really want to use my whole body as a controller and flail about like a ragdoll like that woman was on stage. I’m not really a great fan of over gestured wii games. The Eye Toy was really fun, for about 5 seconds then you never wanted to use it again, I could see this being very similar.

Also I find it funny when Nintendo release something then it's just stupid but if Sony or Microsoft release something then its inspired genius. Take Mario Kart Wii, using a plastic wheel to play a game is just stupid but apparently using an imaginary wheel in front of a camera is amazing and innovative.

Overall though I think Microsoft had a good conference. I wonder if Nintendo’s will bomb like last year or if it will be any good.

9:39AM PT 2D sprites on dynamic 3D environments, with 3D monsters. It was a quick look, but more of Golden Sun than we've seen in years. And that wraps it up for the RPG portion. They really aren't going to mention Dragon Quest IX ... ?
