I think the storyline would go something like this.

All classes teamed up to fight the Black Magician. Back then there was a race called the Arans who also joined. The Black Magician froze them for many years, and now they have come back stronger with ice powers. (Referring to what Isaac has said)

Or, alternative story....

All classes teamed up to fight the Black Magician. The Black Magician froze some warriors, and they gained ice powers and are now known as the Arans. (Another story that would make sense)

Dagger. There's already a Warrior class (polearm), and it wouldn't make sense to make another.

My version of the story would be...
For the few images we've seen i think they were many, having many jobs (mages, thieves...), but in their war against the black magician this killed them and froze in time the few survivors left (the pole arm users).

Those characters are probably Cygnus jobs , so i assume:
Warrior (Soul Warrior) Mage (Flame Wizard) Assassin/Brawler (Nightwalker/Striker) and Bowman (Windbreaker or w/e)
So they missed either Assassin or Brawler. Maybe the Black Magician captured one of them?

Shouldn't The Dark Magician have his own race and army?
If only the races would fight against the dark magician, it would seem a little unfair (from the dark magician side)
I Mean, Adventurers, Knights of Cygnus, Aran VS The Dark Magician?
OR, All these races noted up VS The Dark Magician and his race/army?

1.dark magician is super powerful

I think its an Assassin and not the KoC at all. Werent pirates looking for and never found the Black Magician? I dont think its KoC because if its just Adventurers you can leave out Pirates easily since they were away, if its KoC you'd HAVE to include Pirates

The one on the left appears to be either a Yeti or higher form of the Aran starting area monsters, and the right looks like a stone golem to me.

The orange guy is Mach, "The Mind of the Polearm". Like, a personality in their weapon. Kinda weird.

anyway, After reading the topic, I have only one question-
When did it happen? ':X

I mean, As It seems, we DON'T know anything about the old great war [pointing to Vic's Storyline in Maple's Story], so.. what occured the war to start? According the translations, something released the Black Magician from hell.. what was it?
I think we are starting to see the continuing story after defeating the Black Magician

About the question if the character in the movie is a warrior or thief- I think The Arans were part of the Warrior's job in vic, but they were sperated from the original jobs when the black magician froze them. So that's why we don't see a warrior in the movie [Guessing the other one is a thief].
