ok, thx for that. when the data for him was first released, i didn't get a name or anything on him. kinda reminds me of "Bleach" or something, having spirits in their weapons.

Im not sure if thats serious, a rule of thumb with every video game or anime is that theres always another major bad guy after the current one dies.

Then the rule of thumb gets broken a lot then. I've seen plenty of shows and games that have ended on a mark where there's nothing new for a next season. Take Fire Emblem for example. There's probably 6 different storylines in all of the 11+ games they have. When the world apparently changes, there's apparently nothing of the old world that exists. Also, the "Fire Emblem" keeps changing every time, and there's nothing suggesting that each of the "Fire Emblems" are connected in any way whatsoever.

i'm with Kajiti on this one. Final Fantasy's another example. in retrospect, there's only one game in the whole series with a true sequel, but that one sucked. >.>

No it's just that the games you've all mentioned have boring ass characters and no one wants to see them for 15+ games whereas games like this are based around the world and not the characters so it's easy to supplement GENERICBADGUYA with GENERICBADGUYB and keep things going so long as the world exists.

Its obvious that MS will end sooner or later, but I really don't see it ending for a good 10 years at least. People can always pull stuff out of their asses if they need to.

Level caps going to be raised if you ask me. Don't really see a point in lowering the xp needed to reach 200 otherwise, makes nexon lose money on 2x cards. Hey look, we can be level 250 nao!!! Omg liek new ubar boss of pwnsauce doodz.

I was just stating it happens a lot, not all the time. They're not going to stop making new content for an extremely successful game just because the first big story arc is over, back to WoW references Azeroth has been in mortal peril more times than I would care to count, Maplestory isnt a series and so it isnt likely to end like one. Lots of games do that same thing, but most have unlinked games like that because they are series and HAVE to do that, MMOs have one big streaming story that only stops when its no longer profitable.

tldr: They're not going to ruin a massively popular game because the big boss is out, they'll make a bigger boss.

You guys are saying the Black Magician will be the FINAL boss of Maple, but that's not necessarily true. Sure, he's the one who set the whole game into prospective, but look at Nexon JP. They added a FUTURE area that's still filled with bosses. If my judgement is correct, the Black Magician wasn't seen for a long time (was it hundreds of years? I don't remember), which means the full area of the past areas (i.e Ellin Forest) would be the final frontier for the battle. WHICH MEANS, there's something else that's going on if the present is still stricken with monsters crawling all over the world. My bet is that once the Black Magician is discovered, added to the game as a boss, and we defeat it and what not, they'll create a bigger, badder boss in probably a future time frame. An MMORPG can't just end with a final boss. lol That's plain silly.
