I <3 Windows 7.

I'm not going to be moving all my stuff from XP to Win7 though, however when I get my new comp, I will definitely be upgrading to Windows 7.

Anyone else had success with MapleStory working with the latest build of Windows 7?

I've been running Windows 7 since the RC was released. Everything is running smoothly, even MapleStory.

i'd say it's faster than both. program compatibility will be tons better with 7 than it was with vista too.

Basically what Vista would be if it didn't have glitches coming out of it's ass.

From what I heard, Windows7 only requires 1 gig of ram in order to run it's operating system compared to Vista which has a minimum requirement of 2 gigs of ram in order to run smoothly. I didn't bother to download the RC patch though like my friends did because eventually the OS will black out every so often and eventually shut down permanently. So essentially they're beta-testing the OS on users.

What I'm personally hoping is that with XP, I believe there were three service pack updates. However, with Vista we only have Service Pack 1. Some of my friend speculate that Windows 7 might be Service Pack 2, but it's probably more wishful thinking than anything else. After all, Windows loves to make money off of new Operating Systems.

I just feel sorry for the poor bastards who bought Windows-Home Edition and then bought Windows-Ultimate. Such a bad investment.

The hell? I ran Vista with 1 gig just fine, and had no compatibility issues after the first few months. And what are these glitches of which you speak?

XP lacks certain small things I've gotten used to (e.g. "Open Containing Folder"), which is a bit irksome.. but that's just me.

When I ran Vista on my laptop, I had conflicting issues when I wanted to open multiple tabs in firefox and other multiple processes at the same time. This could be because I bought a crappy laptop. But I always thought that the other reason was because Vista was using half my ram and the other half was being used to create dump files and other actions which I never really bothered to personally fix after I got my computer. Regardless, I upgraded to 4 ram and now I don't have any lags or hitches when I browse or do anything else that involves multi-tasking. You were right though that the minimum system requirements was 1 gigabyte. My bad :<.

On the Windows website they state that starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010. You’ll also need to install the programs and data that you want to use.

Vista tends to give me problems when I want to access my root drives when I'm using things like Daemon Tools. But this may just be due to my inexperience at using OS's. Sorry for the misinformation.

This is purely referring to the Release Candidate. It's not intended to be a commercial version, so it isn't allowed to be such. Just as Tespia came to an end, Beta and RC comes to an end after the RTM is brought to fruition.

I'm running Windows 7 as my primary OS, now. I will upgrade to a full version once the final is released, and I love every minute of it.

My primary enjoyment stems from how Windows 7 can conserve system resources and yet still cache your most-used applications in the same way Vista does. This not only makes for a faster turnaround on opening and working with applications, but it allows your system to pump more juice into whatever you're doing. It's fantastic.

Additionally, a big thing about Windows 7 in general is its great power management and low power consumption on laptops and netbooks.
