Umineko No Naku Koro Ni

Seems like the patching team has made it so you need a full version, but I'll be testing that out later tonight or tomorrow. At the very least you can see all of Episode 1, as the creator has put it up for free and they offer the separate patch for it.

The art is pretty horrendous in the novel, but it is all a one man project. If you've seen the Higurashi novel, it looks better but still under the quality of anything the anime made.

Anime is scheduled for this July.

Er.. no? Not to mention the video clearly says "Umineko" as well.

[COLOR="RoyalBlue"]No. Its not a sequel. It's made by the same person, same sort of mysterious pomegranate happening. But there's only one very small similarity that isn't even certain to be true that hold the two series together.

The only "sequel" of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai and Rei[/COLOR]

Yes, I have been waiting for the anime so passionately it's not even funny.

[COLOR="RoyalBlue"]I can't wait for the series either, but I wonder how they'll implement some key parts of the novel into it.

For example, the main protagonist has this ability in which she speaks in red. Literally, the text turns red, signifying that what she is saying is the absolute truth. Maybe a shift in tone of the voice or words being spoken without her moving her lips.

Its also been speculated that they'll leave out the tea parties in between the episodes of the novel, which is quite unsettling. They give a big portion of the plot away and help with the understanding, but it does sort of start to pineapple with your mind after a bit.
