Umineko No Naku Koro Ni
#1
So, has anyone else been following the adventures on Rokkenjima?

Seems like the patching team has made it so you need a full version, but I'll be testing that out later tonight or tomorrow. At the very least you can see all of Episode 1, as the creator has put it up for free and they offer the separate patch for it.

The art is pretty horrendous in the novel, but it is all a one man project. If you've seen the Higurashi novel, it looks better but still under the quality of anything the anime made.

Anime is scheduled for this July.

No. Its not a sequel. It's made by the same person, same sort of mysterious pomegranate happening. But there's only one very small similarity that isn't even certain to be true that hold the two series together.

The only "sequel" of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai and Rei

I can't wait for the series either, but I wonder how they'll implement some key parts of the novel into it.
