EDIT- The problem is not the breaking message, it's the fact the stone won't work. Read the chat box.

What did he scroll that with again?

Chaos Scrolls.

Yeah, I think that validation check should be checking if first egg has been used, not if there are 3 slots left.

Even if it is "supposed to only work on first slot" that's just stupid.

So what's wierd? I was under the impression item locked equips always gave that message when you scrolled them.

The egg wouldn't work, and it seems to be because he had used 2 chaos scrolls on the pendant so far.

It's just because of the lock, that's all. It won't break it.

@ Heidi, oh, nvm, can't open SW here, so didn't know that.

pwned.

seems that nexon already blocked the last 2 slots to not work with dragon stone if the first slot was used before, i can think this is intentional to avoid a case like that xD (chaos + chaos + egg = 30+ pendant) or to avoid the karma scissors transfer (HT mule egg + karma + main char egg = 40+ pendant)

I really have my doubts that it was intentional.

Seems a lot like sloppy coding. It's easier to check if slots is equal to 3 than it is to check if an egg was used on the pendant.

Of course. Because in Nexon coding, they don't keep a history of every kind of scroll used on every item, only if a scroll was or was not used. They could feasibly change that for the HT pendant, but why buck the trend and create whole new algorithms just for one item?

Hindsight = 20/20

shouldn't have chaos'd lol. Sometimes your experiments backfire on you.

Well they were willing to give it the strange scrolling system it has, so they should really have made it keep track of what has been put on it.

I'm not great at coding, but wouldn't an easy fix be to check the weapon defense of the pendant, if its >200, don't allow an egg to be used.

Ah well, I guess this *could* be intended.

we currently still have the scroll protection on our pendants so you can only use one stone per pendant, it protects the other slots from being stoned. nexon does not make a difference in wether you scrolled your first slot with a chaos or with a stone. it simply protects the 2nd and 3rd slot from being stoned.

if you want to chaos a pendant you MUST use your stone first and the chaoses on the 2nd and 3rd slot.

Well, bad and good news with it though:

- It'll be harder to gain a good HT pendant.
- Sucks that there's noone to notify that for you before you chaos it.
