Lol, four failed books in a row. There's a (1-.7)^4 = .81% chance of that happening.

That's not really grounds for any argument about the build, though.

If you're referring to me, I don't even have a Marksman and I'm not really in favor of or against the build. I have a bunch of Marksmen friends, some of which are doing the build, and I thought it was interesting and worth discussing.

Odd, isn't it?
I've also noticed a trend: Most of the people that hate Inferno either don't have it, or are at a level where it'd be useless even if they did have it.

^ Hey, I don't feel like going back on MS right now - I did the numbers with 4 second Snipe and they are significantly higher than other ranged classes at 13x, about what you would expect them to have at mid-late 14x. Right now Snipe just puts Marksmen about in that gap between NL and Corsair damage. I kind of overestimated.

Hmm..10 level DPS advantage, not counting that I can use Snipe during W-Cancels. Sounds good to me, I'll probably train at Anego a bit with Snipe.
A build is only as good as the person who makes it. Make proper use of an unorthodox build, and you'll do as well or better than someone who chooses a more common route.

considering i had maxed snipe and maxed pierce on my old MM, i think i will stick to the normal build and have plenty of training grounds.and party options. btw good luck training at anego at 13x, in windia is hard as hell i cant imagine how anego is at bera.
snipe first build is for those that wont party till 15x, and i dont see myself soloing guardians till the end of time.

Good point, Anego's kinda hard to find. Still, it fits into my usual schedule of recreational bossing. I'm a Bloodmaster, my build's designed for bossing, Snipe fits into that perfectly.
I'd get SE if I had the choice, but that's no longer an option. I don't really like Boost all that much, and I figure Pierce can wait. I get the greatest bonus from Snipe now as opposed to later - might as well go for it.
As far as partying, I'm almost always partied with my friend - a NL with an HS and HB mule, and often with my Wife - who will have maxed SE a little after I max Snipe. I also can have the capability of training with any number of Bishops/Arch Mages (Although I often don't).

Or those who want to boss early and train with a similar-leveled 4th job magician, reducing the necessity of a good mob skill and better Strafe damage to train.
Anego is freaking impossible to find in Bera. People camp the pomegranate out of it. I can find Bigfoots and HHs all the time but I never see an Anego.

Cue my planned defenseiveDRK build. Yay early Achilles.
(I plan on getting Achilles to 20ish, doing 2 Beholder's Aura and 1 Achilles per level-up starting at 141. After Aura is maxed at 148ish, I will finish up to whatever my current HP allows for regarding the whole Achilles-1/1-Ginseng formula. Something like not having more than 9.99% of your HP left after getting 1/1'd, which would be 19 Achilles in any situation. The extreme of this idea also includes a safeguard against Beholder's Aura overhealing you at just the right (or wrong) moment, but I'm not so worried about that. For bossing I don't plan on using Beholder anyway, as I'll be maxing hex for the free 3 attack during training over Dragon Blood. Anyways, unorthodox build).
Oh, and I bloodbuilded before HP washing was the "it" thing to do. 5 or 6 levels of pure HP in 12x, and am still doing 1hp4str. Will continue to do so until I reach appx 20k hp with HB, which should be around late 14x-early 15x, getting appx 1k HBHP per 5 levels with my statbuild.

to kevvl, I failed 6 snipe20 books aswell. they're cheap but hard as hell to find. level 9 SE is just... too short. MMB is very helpful, it will make your training much faster than pure snipe. that's what I think atleast

I had to decide between Boost and Snipe, but I've always had the planned build of SE -> Snipe, so I figured I'll just switch it and do Snipe -> SE. What better time to go through 9 levels of practically no upgrades than during an event? It'll suck until it's maxed, but past that it'll be worth it. I'll be perfect for bossing! I'm Blood and'll have all the right bossing skills.

How in holy hell does training with a mage reduce the need for a mob skill? If anything, it should massively increase the need. Also, I'd like to know if as many people train with a mage/bishop as they would like. I personally have trained with a mage/bishop like... maybe 5 of my 32 levels in 4th job.

As I've already said, the person I'm referring to is married to a Bishop and they train at Newties. I dunno why you'd ever need Pierce at Newties.

I use pierce at the bottom of newties. Exp is amazingly better than pure strafing.
that reminds me I need to go test it with the 1s charge there

Personally , I think snipe is more useful than pierce . You gotta have frostprey to use piece efficiently . Just my thought from practice
