Considering Returning To The Ranger World
#1
Hi fellow bowmen.

As summer rapidly approaches I've been trying to decide on what character I would return to. I haven't played my level 75 ranger since August of last year and haven't leveled him up at all. A lot has changed over the course of this year. I was playing my level 47 ice/lightning wizard now and again whenever I had time during the school year, but I just started messing around on my ranger again. I am considering playing my ranger again possibly full time to enhance my guild (which my light mage leads) and help with GPQ's and such.

I'm already pretty well funded (approximately 100m in funding to spread between both characters) and I thought it might be good to help fund my light mage further with my ranger.

I was just hoping to get some thoughts of where the bowmen community is now (in game and on the forums), any new "high leveled" (70+) tactics and training spots. I really want to actually do something "successful" in MapleStory this summer rather than just wasting my time making tons of characters and getting them to level 30.

Thanks for your time and comments.

Oh god, this is like the...6th time?

You should really stick with one character Hurt.

Haha, yeah. Have you noticed a trend CoB? I totally fail at holding down a class (hopefully not the same for a job!).

 Spoiler

EDIT: If I solve this one, I promise this will be my last (or else you can steal all my cookies).

What build do you currently have on your Ranger?

AR first is faster than Strafe. Train at Windraiders until you have AR 11, then go to Typhons.

I have the same problem! I just decided to make a cleric last week. Now I'm wondering if I should make a ranger or a DK. Sad

What's your STR?

Don't even get me started with this problem. I have about 5 70+ accounts because of this Hurt

But yeah rangers are doing pretty good these days. I stay you stick to it. I got 6 levels yesterday on 4x Biggrin

What's your STR?

75 base dex. 80 with equips.

It's nice to know a lot more people have the same problem as I do! Glitter

You should totally do it. Archers in general are pretty awesome, but I foolishly deleted my new level 25 archer to make a KPQ mule to sell scrolls. The mule failed horribly. Might use 2x to get back up to 30 fast Hurt

I'm really torn because my 47 ice/light leads my 100 slot guild. I was thinking of playing both...but maybe that's foolish...

You can be a junior of the guild on your ranger. For things that you need the master for, just log on to your I/L real quick. I did that when I lead a guild. I ended up disbanding it anyways.

Yeah, that's definitely an option.

I guess I'm just looking to see whether or not putting time and energy into my ranger is worth it (judging by everyone's comments, it is). I would like to have a "main" character and then a secondary character. Generally the higher level is the main...right?

My highest level isn't my main or secondary character >_> The main one I play is higher than the 2nd though.
