Monster damage formula/calculator?
#1
Is there any formula/calculator out there that calculates how much monsters would hit with a certain attack/magic attack?

Like according to hidden-street, a Crimson Balrog has Weapon attack:500, Magic attack:720. So what's the formula to calculate the exact done to a def-less char? And how is the char def involved?

Thanks.

For monster damage calculation purposes, the baseline "0" defense is the typical for your level (add up defense from highest possible defense class items you can wear)

Then do atk^2/125 to get the max damage done to that player. If you have more defense, subtract 1/2 the increase. If you have less, add 1/2 the difference. It's more complicated than that but this would be within 100 of the actual amount.

Min damage is 95% of the max.

A rough estimate of weapon attack damage is (wAtk)^2/125. I don't believe anyone knows the whole entire formula, and on top of that, individual monster attacks may have additional wAtk/mAtk tacked on to the whole thing (not entire confident about this).

It's pretty much common knowledge that your level compared to the monster's affects the damage you take. For example, you'd probably never take more than 30 damage from Slimes when you were a newbie, but at lvl 14x, my Paladin without any armor gets 65 damage or so from the same Slime.

Other things suspected to play a role in the formula are your character class and STR.

This is one of the formulas we have yet to crack.

I'll loosely quote Stereo here:
