We appreciate that you are interested in the Maple Guide program! (Yes we know that the title doesn’t fit the job, but we’re working on it!) I strongly suggest that you read my forum post regarding this program before continuing. I’ve answered a lot of questions regarding this program. You can find my forum post on our forums at http://forum.nexon.net/MapleStory/forums...hread.aspx (it’s at the bottom). To get into the Maple Guide program, all applicants will need to meet the following restrictions.
1. Meet one of these two character requirements:
-----a. Have a character at least level 70.
-----b. Or have a character at least level 45 on an account created before May 2007.
2. Your account is not currently banned.
3. Your account has no prior abuse for hacking.
4. Be in our service area.
5. Like Pie. Or Cookies. (Just kidding! No, but seriously, you must like pie or cookies. Or cake. Mmm cake.)
If you meet these criteria, and you are still interested, you will need to submit an application. All applications must be sent to Einquiry@Nexon.net. If your email is submitted somewhere else, we won’t get it. Please remember that if you submit anything other than your application to the above email, it will not be responded to. All account related questions or game questions must be submitted through the ticketing system. When you submit your application to our email, please make the subject read, “Maple Guide Application for < Nexon ID here>”. This is so that we don’t lose your application! (Tip: Include your Nexon ID in the brackets. Don’t put <Nexon ID here> when you submit the ticket. We think that this is self explanatory, but you never know… )
And now, the application! Please provide the following information. Incomplete applications will be immediately disqualified.
Full name (First and Last):
Birth date:
Your Account ID:
Forum ID (if applicable):
Main character’s name that you play on:
Main server that you play on:
Character’s name that is at least level 70/ 45:
· Do you play on any other servers? If so, please explain and include servers and play time on other servers.
· Does the name and birth date that you have provided on your application match the name on your account? If not, please explain.
· Do you have any other accounts? If so, please provide Account IDs for each of your other accounts.
· Does anyone else have access to your account(s)? If so, please explain who and why.
· Include city, country and time zone.
· For what times do you plan on volunteering?
· Do you play any other Nexon games?
· Have you ever played on a private server? (No, this is not a trick question.)
· Do you have access to a microphone?
· If you qualify, would you be able to submit a copy of one of the following forms of identification: driver’s license, state identification, or passport?
· Is there any prior abuse on your account that you know of? If so, please explain.
· Before we investigate your account, is there anything else that you wish to include?
Good luck to everyone!!!

Quote:Re-Name the Maple Guide Program?
Hi Everyone!
As promised here is one way we can have everyone's help with this program. After reviewing all the name submissions from the previous thread, we have narrowed down the list to 3 possible choices.
I would just like to say that the second name was change from PIE to P.I. though we would totally plan on pronouncing it as pie still. LOL
So without further ado, here are the choices:
How should we rename the Maple Guide program?
Important... this poll will only be up for a few days!!! So hurry and vote!!!
While that's all well and good, a lot of those seem like trap questions. Does Nexon approve of a single person having multiple accounts? We certainly know they don't approve of private servers so...
The idea of being a fakeGM is interesting to me but not enough for me to actually answer most of those questions as well as writing an essay and taking a dumb test just so I can work for free on a server where I don't know anyone.
Edit: To be clear, I've never done anything wrong in game but I still don't like the idea of them setting people up.
i was kind of thinking along the lines of the above post ^
seems a lil too trappy :/ "yes, nexon, i allow my BF free reign on my accounts so he can pot me up or reset shops, etc for me" and does it say in the ToS that we cannot have multiple accounts? i've read that thing so many times i'd swear i never saw it say we can only have one... :X
also, my accounts have info that's a lil off my real info for account security. i think most of us are in the same boat on that one. i don't want them to be like hey your account is named Jane Doe born in 1900 instead of Jane Smith born in 1985...
If they ask about multiple accounts I can point out there are 12 classes, they didn't use to sell character slots, and I wanted to try more than 3 without having to keep deleting them>_>
Well, submitted my application. I was honest with every single one. They probably know that 90% of all maplers have tried a private server, and just want to see if people are being truthful. I think that's what they're mostly after here with this little application.

It's obviously a trap.
"Also to whomever accused Hime and I of account sharing: shame on you for even suggesting it! We use this wacky thing called email and shes been posting my thoughts for me. But if it makes you more comfortable, Ill post for myself."

I don't think that they will count the multi-account against you. They actually may count it toward you. If you are having to manage "guide" account, they may want someone who can manage multiple account. But you should point out that you wanted to try out all the classes. I think honesty is what they want.

I was the one who accused her of doing it, XD.
Of course that representative of Nexon would say it. That's politics for you.
Eh, I submitted my application. We'll see if I lose my accounts for being honest.
By the way, for those who are in the same mindset as me and say "oh, I don't mind if I lose my accounts I'll just be honest," remember that there's a section at the end to let them know whatever you want. In that section I basically said, "I understand that my possession of more than one account is against the Nexon Terms of Service, and so in the event my accounts are permanently banned I would like to thank the Nexon Corporation for three years of a wonderful pastime."
Go ahead and ban my accounts; you'll lose a happy, paying customer.
I'm certain Nexon knows that there are going to be many, many applicants that have multiple accounts. To ban every person that has multiple accounts is really bad for PR. I cannot be 100% certain on this, but I don't think they'd ban your accounts for something like this. If they really wanted to ban people for mults, they should find other ways of doing it. However, if they ban for mults over this then they need a new system.
...what? I mostly did it to expand my horizon and get some experience. Nothing like experience I say. And I don't have any faith in the slightest that they'll consider me for actual pay in some sort of task force or w/e.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to have total access to all the shenanigans going on in the other servers to see what's going on, no? (in addition to doing the job of course)

And I told them I was a student that can code stuff too xD
I applied.
I point blank admitted to being a data analyst / programmer / database administrator and owning my own free-online-game since 1999.
Cleanly admitted to extracting and posting thier monster book and maker recipes too, but also stated that i've never provided info to PServers, never played a pserver, and never modded my wz's and that my game is so unrelated to them it wouldn't be a conflict of interest so much as "prior work experience".
So far I think Paul and I have the biggest chances of being banned and I don't think he even applied. Wonder if Isaac will.
It'll be interesting to see if any of my 14+ accounts still exist by Monday or if they go straight to panic mode and purge me as the clearly dangerous menace that I am.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
