Maple Story msi missing HELP!

Hey guys, I'm sorta in a frantic right now...I tried getting into Maple Story right now and it says that the file to open up the page, maplestory.msi is missing, (as in doesn't exist anymore). I can't enter Maple Story anymore. Can you help? I don't know what to do.

Off the top of my head: Get a full copy of someone else's MS. I dunno how you'll go about doing that though =/

Are you getting the problem where Maple tries to install, when you click the shortcut? If so, do this :

Delete that shortcut. Then go to your MapleStory folder, and click the .exe icon that looked like the shortcut. It should work then. Just make a shortcut of that one, and put it where ever you'd like.

Tried it. It says can't find ijl.dll. Please re-install this application.

First, just uninstall your current MapleStory through the Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs.

I would suggest you use the MapleStory Downloader, since it's a bit faster - and you can pause and continue the download at another time. To do this, just click the banner that says "Click to get the MapleStory Downloader .exe"

Then it'll start downloading. If you chose to save the file, go to wherever you saved it, and double click the "MSDownload" icon. If you chose to run the file, after it's done, it should start downloading the client automatically.

mmk, thanks....guessing it'll take a few hours? and btw, now that im re-installing, do you think hackshield will give me problems, cause I haven't had any problems before.....

It shouldn't. I've reinstalled my MapleStory since the patch, and I've seen no difference. If you haven't had any problems before now, then you shouldn't have any afterwards.

I had the exact same error, so I tried re-installing MS.

It didn't work. Still gives the "cannot find ijl15.dll" error.

The title of the error box is "Themida - http://www.oreans.com", by the way. Anyone know what's up with that?


EDIT: The way it happened is that I had the "cannot find maplestory.msi" error, so I tried directly clicking on MapleStory.exe, but that didn't work... gave a similar error about a file being missing. (I can't remember which file.) So then I re-installed, and the desktop shortcut was a completely broken shortcut to "C:\Nexon\MapleStory\Database"... no extension, even, lol.

So I tried directly clicking on/making a shortcut to MapleStory.exe again. It seemed to work, but I hadn't been on the login screen for 5 seconds before HackShield booted me with an unspecified "problem not on the list" error. (I wish I had copied down the number, but I guess it wouldn't be too descriptive if HackShield itself doesn't know what's going on.)

Then, only after HackShield booted me, did I start getting the ijl15.dll error. I tried restarting, since I hadn't since the re-install, but it doesn't help. All I wanted was one SS of my page's damage range!

I don't see why that wouldn't work... just make sure the file is found in the same folder where all the other MS stuff is located.

I downloaded your version and copied the file to every subfolder of the MapleStory folder. There was already a copy in the root MapleStory folder, but I replaced it anyway.

Still giving the error. Obviously, the issue isn't the lack of that file... somehow MS isn't recognizing it?
