Actually it costs over 2.1 billion... if you looked at the amount of money I was carrying in the screenshot... The reason is it blocks the meso reward, thus I only get item rewards. It helps, but I still get a lot of junk.

There's a rather fresh (May 5th ending date) sale of a GM scroll in MTS if that means anything. I sure hope they didn't remove it, although my Dragon Carabella is now complete already at 143 atk 21 STR. o.O

I relisted mine at a higher price until someone gets reasonable proof that they still drop (set it to the same price as Chameleonic4's ...) I assume some other people would do that too.

good question here on market speculation. If the GM scroll stop coming from the badge exchange, would that mean that the price of 2 hand sword with fast speeds, such as Stonetooths, would go up? Seeing as there is less of a chance for a good att one hand sword, i would assume this to be true. Or at least the scrolls would go up more.

Even if 1h sword GM scrolls were NPC purchasable, there would still be a 2h sword market. With party buffs (SE/SI) and Apples, a decent 2h sword can outdamage a perfect 1h sword...
1h + shield does give more of a defensive property though. Since Guardian's awesome but only works with a shield.

Outdamage, but not OutDPS.
It's hard to contend with a perfect Lunchbox.
If 1H GM Scrolls were NPC-purchaseable, I would drop my 2H sword in a heartbeat.

heh, i think everyone would. Hell, there would probably be less of the other classes and everyone would have a new sword perfectly scrolled every lvl-sword change.

If a 2h outdamages a 1h with party buffs, how would it not outDPS? Keep in mind that I did say with SI, where a normal(6) 2h sword would attack at the same rate as a lunchbox. Same speed, same distance, higher damage... why, I think that means more DPS. (Except for paladins, 2h would also make their blast hit farther, another plus.)
If you don't believe me, do the math. It's mostly thanks to Apple + SI. Without a speed advantage, lunchboxes aren't nearly as good. And the extra 100 w.att from an apple drives a wedge between the damage of a 1h and 2h, SE only expands it further. Last time I did the math, I think a Hero just needs a 13x? 2h sword to outdamage a perfect LB + 20 attack shield (Assuming same gloves/cape/shoes/pendant. Though, the more attack derived from gloves/cape/shoes/pendant, the lower the 2h sword needs to be in order to outdamage the 1h). A 13x Dragon Claymore is much easier/cheaper to get than a 143 LB + 20 att Maple Shield.

Then why haven't i seen any 13x Dragon Claymore around if they are easier / cheaper to get? I
t's true that u need a 13x att 2h to outdamage a perfect LB + 20 att shield, but you forgot to mention that the "x" needs to be really high... I had a 139 att ST and comparing it to a 144 LB + 20 att shield, with SI and Apple, the ranges were 12500 for ST and 12350 for LB or something really close to that.
Sadly, to do that, you would have to live using apples everytime you train and having a SI mule with you all the time (that also leeches your exp...) which in my opinion is not worthy.

I think the last time I did the calculation, it came out to something like 132 would be roughly equivalent to a perfect LB + 20 Shield, both including buffs. Keeping in mind that attack from gloves/shoes/cape/pendant would give more damage to a 2h user than a 1h.
For your ST example, you have to also consider the extra dex you probably have, which would lower your damage.
Though there is a problem with what I said earlier. Currently 2h sword scrolls prices have really risen (At least in Windia) and now I'm not so sure if it's worth attempting a 130+ for a slight damage advantage, for players that already have a perfect 1h sword that is.
Sadly for me, I can't afford any of this ... GM Scroll farming was going to be my key to a perfect sword, but now....

Off of 1h gm scrolls for now...
My friend says they changed the EQ so that you can now get tao of harmony, and even chaos scrolls rarely from nightshadow trade in.
I doubt the chaos scroll one, but I'm willing to bet the other tao is now a reward.
And I don't know if these are the only changes. Does anyone have any ss's of new rewards, etc? I'm curious because I want to start hunting badges, but not sure which is best to hunt. (I'd do nights but they take a bit to kill.)
