Brazilian IPs Blocked From Game?

well like always after a end of sc/patch i tried log right after on my account, and for my surprise i got this:




for those who dont know, that is the screen maple show when your country IP is blocked for use on GMS. the fact is IPs being blocked from Brazil since June 25th 2008. but only for new accounts created after this date as follow http://forum.nexon.net/MapleStory/forums...70208.aspx. seems nexon just break that rule and blocked all IPs for any account, created in any date.

That is really unfair and dumb if they did that. Hopefully it's a mistake.

Vietnamese IPs are blocked as well, I presume Southeast Asian and European should also be.

Could be that Nexon forgot the additional criterion for an account's IP to be blocked, being created after 25 June. Or it could be that they just decided to be racist to us, not much of an amazement.

Methinx I know a particular LordMicks that will not be amused. I am SO glad my original orders (to England) got cancelled and I got sent to Miami instead.

seems like a mistake, given they already banned brazilian and viet users... why go back months and months later and ban the old players after informing them they were safe?

if they did do such a thing they should have informed the community and told them such and such date would be the cut off.

Probably they just messed something up again, and this is another bug. At least I hope it is for all users who got blocked now.

They probably accidentally pressed the "ban all of Brazil button." It's next to the "Ban all of Europe" button.

same thing happened with the euro ban. they just forgot the account creation date in the log in screen check. Log a ticket, they should fix it.

Yeah I've logged the ticket already, I also wrote a ticket for a friend that didn't speak english =P.

since the ip block happened, it always say to join mapleeurope.

If this is authoritative, our collection thus far includes all of BrazilMS, VietnamMS (which nobody cares about), and part of EuropeMS.

My Vietnamese guildies were able to log in today, after being blocked yesterday.
Seems the block has been lifted.

yeah they fixed the block, but didnt say anything.
