Cygnus impressions
Huh? I thought you got 5 AP from the 3rd job advancement as an adventurer, too?

No one has been able to solidly confirm that (which I find rather bizarre). I thought you only got AP on the 4th advancement, but I really don't remember. It's been years since I made the 3rd job advance.

I still remember advancing, I'm pretty sure I got some AP.

You get 5 AP for 3rd job advancing. That's how it was for my Brawler, anyways. Pretty sure my Bandit got 'em too.

I got them, and my 3rd job wasn't THAT long ago (only a few months). I would've liked it if they also gave you 3 SP insteat of 1, would've made it a lot easier, but I guess that's only for the 4th jobbers Excellent

Nope. That was changed. You can have multiple Cygnus characters on each world.

I'll still probably stick to a Soul Warrior. Warriors are what I know best, esp mid-long range mobbers. May as well save my Stonetooth for him.

Lol. Warriors are my best class, too, but I think I'm going to go with Striker, seeing as how I will have to only give it minimal funds, since I already have enough Pirate equipment for it already. Redface

Soul Warriors are fun. I had one on KMS and I LOVED it. The only thing is, for Soul Rush, you need to jump and use Soul Rush simutaneously, or you won't go very far with it. Also, like the other warrior jobs, they have low MP and their Soul Blade skill uses up about 30 to 35 MP per use, so your MP is drained a TON.

Meh, kinda used to that with Fury and HB anyway, but yea, 30-35 is a bit hefty. Dep star is a free 100 MP though, and a Spieg is 90, so won't hurt me too much. MoNs raise the bar to 300, so I'll be alright. Getting used to having less HP is gonna be the hardest part (no HB, low level cap). I'll prob do a 4str/1dex/1hp build up through 50-60, and then whatever more dex I need for my Stonetooth. The extra HP should be enough to cover the low level cap (and consequently HP) at bosses. Damage won't take much of a hit because of the extra AP and high skill %s.

Just wondering, did the change to the Blessing of the sprit skill make it to kms?
Or is it still just the parent and cygnus get the buff.

Yes it did. There is no more parent-cygnus relationship, it's been completely obliterated.

Then how does blessing work now?

Combattente Wrote:Then how does blessing work now?

You have the following 3 characters on one server on one account:

9x Crusader
5x Soul Warrior
3x Assassin

The 9x crusader will get a level 5 skill of the blessing from the soul warrior. The 5x soul warrior and 3x assassin will receive a level 9 skill of the blessing from the crusader.

Basically, that character looks at your next highest one to determine the skill level. So if you have a level 200 and a level 20 as your next highest on the same account, that level 200 will only get a blessing of 2.

IMO, I liked the old way MUCH better. <_<

Actually that is incorrect. The 9x Crusader will get a blessing of 3 as it is the second highest non cygnus char on the account.

Here's an image. [Image: botschange207.png?w=445&h=235] courtesy of spadow's blog.

The image says: a LV 165 Main Character, a LV 125 Main Character and a LV 115 Cygnus Character.

The 165 character will get LV12 Blessing of the Sprite, the 125 character and the 115 Cygnus will both get LV 16 Blessing of the Sprite.

To get any significant Sprite bonus for your main means you will have to level a secondary normal char...

No, NoJobNoRules is correct. The reason the 165 Adventurer gets the buff from the 125 Adventurer instead of the Cygnus is because 125 > 115.

I'm sorry, but that is wrong - you get the bonus from your 2nd highest character on the account, cygnus or otherwise. If you have a 5x Cygnus and a 3x Normy, you'd get the lv 5 blessing.

Also, ninja'd.

What it does is choose the highest level character other than the one in question.
