Ya, literacy criticalness over/on a online game is a form of Grammar Nazi. One to make a big deal about using your instead of you,re (cant use commas cause of keyboard is in swedish mode and i cant figure out to turn it back) has more problems then the person not using correct grammar. See, yea you can go on and use your good grammar and spelling but it inderectly tells people you think your better/smarter then them cause you use good grammar. EVEN if you say you dont think that, its subconscienal. Yea you should use good grammar when it is important but over online game it dont really matter. What matter is ASLONG as the person reading your text can understand you and when the sentence is said it sounds like what its suppost to. Even if you say "your going to the mall" when its suppost to be "you,re going to the mall" or w/e. You still know what your talking about. Then if you pull that crap OH you have freedom of speech or opinion. Well it comes to a point where your being down right rude.

Your reference to the First Amendment is downright provoking. You're basically saying that we shouldn't type with correct grammar even though we have the freedom of speech [expression, really], since it's rude.

I see, but on the CC PLOX it just be someone else own opinion on if its rude. For someone can be fighting a tough monster and like to get their statement out quick they type CC PLZ. Though, yea you have freedom of speech but people would assume you be using it wisely, see there was a kid in class that blabbed out something rude in class to the teacher. This kid said " i have freedom of speech" and i told him " yea you have freedom of speech but it comes to the point where your being rude, or yada yada" as for such. Using appreviations isnt grammaratically(lol) incorrect, its just to simplify of one thing so its shorter and faster. Its just using OMG or wtp or even CC PLZ. OMG , wtp and words as such are to express emotions in online games to say your upset with something WHILE being busy fighting monsters or playing whats being playd. CCPLZ is the same but its just simplified for someone to tell you to change the channel because someones playing whats being playd. IF you create an issues YOU would be being rude by interrupting what the person be playing. Creating a BIGGER issue, also if you ask him to type in the WHOLE thing. He be busy typing instead of potting himself trying to live and risk the chance of death and loss of EXP just because you didnt want him to say CCPLZ.

People who type literately never say 'cc plz.'
I always type 'Can you please leave?' or something along those lines, even at Himes and Skeles. The potion usage issue is irrelevant to the topic at hand.

Sure, people may shorten phrases, but when you shorten something like "Looking for party" into "LFP@@@@@@," something's wrong. When "LFP" becomes "lpF@@@222," how can you argue that that is not grammatically incorrect?
Anyway, most people who are grammatically incorrect STILL ignore grammar when they're not training.

However, I did say that rudeness does not only come in the solitary form that you described: namely, typing in grammatically correct sentences. I said that those who type grammatically incorrectly are just as rude, if not more rude, than people who type literately.

That may be true, yes.

However, this rudeness pales in comparison to the blatant rudeness that illiterate people show a LOT more often than literate people do.

I recently helped this level 8 beginner find Grendel the Really Old in Ellinia.
The conversation went something like this [note that my name is anaIysis and gets censored when people say 'anaL,' so they use 'ana']:

In arguments, people use literacy to build up a condescending attitute, as you said.
