K-ON eps1-2: Wth guys? You seriously like this? Would've been instant drop after ep1 if not for deciding to commit for Mio's sake. Tsumugi is so ugly I can hardly stand it (THOSE EYEBROWS) and Yui is so frickin' retarded that it's annoying. Gah. And usually QUALITY doesn't bother me all that much...but wow, it's like the girls are CONSTANTLY MUTATING.

The only positive things about this series are Mio and the ED.

07-Ghost 01: I want to say it's one of the better first episodes this season, but there's a huge aura of homolust coming from everyone. I really liked the red-headed instructor, though she only had like 10 seconds of screen time. Disappointing that she was pretty much the only woman in the episode.

Shangri-La 02: What did I just watch? Is it just me or is there a horrid amount of QUALITY hiding behind every corner? I can't tell too clearly because of the 480p.

K. so. Since I already read the manga / watched the original animu I'll just comment on slight differences and shit in this post, since critiquing Bones for production quality is too time consuming and would yield very little.

 Manga

Episode covered two chapters, the first two of the first book. It was fairly faithful to it overall, complete with the same facial expressions at some points, which was a nice touch to keep some of the humor involved. They added an extra "fight" with the priest, he never transformed into the huge hulking thing in the manga, but was nearly crushed in his smaller form by the statue. There was nowhere near as much exposition between Lust / Gluttony and the priest in the anime as there was in the manga, but I guess it's not really needed. They seem to be skipping a few chapters, namely the one when the brothers travel to the desert town and end up introducing Roy on the way back.

 Anime

First series took two fucking episodes for this one. Thank god this series is going faster. Slight difference in the story lies in that Envy was originally introduced in the ending scene with Lust and Gluttony, showing that he/she/it is able to transform his/her/its body into anyone. Also to note, Ed is already a state alchemist in this series, whereas both he and Al attempt to take the test in a few more episodes after studying with the Life-Giving alchemist.

Is aasasubs the same group that did a few Soul Eater episodes? I think I remember them pulling some pomegranate like that if it was them. They literally translated over 3 sentences of dialogue into "Yeah", and just completely skipped some other parts. Not to mention a complete fucking lack of QC.
