I only got this card after less than fifty kills. Just goes to show how irregular the drop rates are...

Probability seems to love me as much as George Lucas loves the Star Wars franchise. 4 whole dang hours in Land of the Wild Boar and totally no card results.

Well, a recorded version of my Monster Book hunting from my first day, Friday:
Day 1- 10 different cards.
Day 2- 14 different cards (at least one of each for the entire Red Section+ a Jr. Newtie card+complete Octos).
Day 3- 18 different cards.

Yup, that's the map with only 4 that spawn slow D; There's probably a really good map that I'm completely forgetting about xD

Yeah, this is correct. I dunno what that guy's talking about. The last SW Dungeon (the one with the FoG entrance) has an amazing DSG spawn on the bottom. It's much better than before...

They need to fix the droprates on some of these things. Spend a half hour absolutely raping gobies, and not a single thing to show for it. Killed 2 Pianus, no cards (dunno if they drop from left side or not).

I spent 20-30 minute blocks in various monsters with nothing to show for it today. Only 5 cards so far.

You have bad luck I'm afraid. Me and my friend killed 9 Pianus and 6 cards dropped from it. We did mostly right Pianus's during the morning.

Yay, I actually got a ton of cards. It looks like I don't have such bad luck after all.
Dark Sand Dwarf. It only took me about 200-300 kills.

Jr. Cactus. This one took between 400-500 kills. It's my favorite since it's so cute.

Ear Plug Head. This one took even less time than the Scarf Plead, with less than 50 kills. XD

So now I have a still pitiful grand total of 8 cards.

I just found out today we have a place called Swamp of Junior Necki. That's one card I thought would be a pain in the ass, down.

I'm with Zenkat, the drop rate is horrible...losing interest in hunting them as it feels like a colossal waste of time.

I'm fine with them. Don't hunt them. It becomes a pain in the ass if you're REALLY trying to get them.

Dont hunt them, just be sure to kill every monster on your way even in henesys etc..

Before this came out I was pretty bored with Maple... I need motivation besides "+1 level". looking for cards gives me opportunities to go all over the world, to places I haven't been in months or even a year. For example, I've been concentrating on Omega Sector. I really like it, but there's not much to do there when you're... well, anything over 60 really. Now I can go there and run around hunting the bosses and killing monsters and this all occurs under the guise of collecting cards. An elaborate trick to get me to train? Perhaps, but I'd rather be going, "This next Skelegon might drop a card!" than "Only 5 million more skelegons to level..."
