Leader of a Big Family Medal
#21
Lol at the people here saying "my family has only xx members".
I find it very hard for ppl under lvl 15x+ to get a family of 1000 ppl, and only the leader of that family would get that medal D:
The price to get that medal is extremely high, and considering the annoying message you get with it, I don't think it'll be very common to see

You. Lucky. Whore.
Jk.
Anyways, the medal is only that size because of the long name translation. Hopefully they wont translate it exactly the way korea would say it, as with this, as it does sound a bit awkward.
And does everyone get the medal in the family?

MonkyMagic Wrote:This is what you get when you have 1000 juniors under you and you finish the Captian Al quests. There is a title that appears under your guild name once you equip the medal. Yes it is 1000 juniors under each person to be able to get the medal, not just 1000 family members. Although there is a catch to getting the medal. You must keep your family above 1000 members or you lose the medal. If you do happen to lose it you can re get it by talking to Captain Al again.

so..does that mean everymember in family could get a medal as long as the have 1000 jrs under them?

or only the leader of that family can get it?

Wow, only 2 stats for 1000 members? Nexon doesn't know how to properly reward people. >_>

Considering all the player has to do is sit back and watch his family grow, I'd say that's a damn fine reward.

Yeah. Search for medals/"Marks of Honor" here on SP and you'll find some threads about it. There are many different medals, though the only ones I can recall offhand are Highest Donator (donate huge sums of mesos, one medal per town per server), defeat 100,000 monsters higher than your level (impossible for anyone over 120), collect 1,000 fame in one month (existing fame doesn't count), and complete 800 quests (these are sub-quests, so for example the faust quest counts as 6, not 1 as it does in the quest log.). There are a few others but needless to say, these are extremely difficult to earn.

Not really. Your family is likely not to go anywhere if you're not 200. It'll probably take active involvement in recruiting if you wish to break the 1000 player cap.

I always wondered why they made the other ones significantly harder than this one.

Aaah.. I'm really waiting for that. Finally my effort for doing all my avaiable quests (including some that are pretty difficult to do at my level, like getting an item dropped by Pianus) will be rewarded.

Too bad, the medal for doing 800 quests sucks. Tongue

This medal is almost impossible if your not near the top of your family tree. GG

What I'm wondering is whether or not your siblings' side of the family counts toward your 1000 count.
 Spoiler
What I mean is RainSprite's side of the family on the tree. Do everyone below him/her count too, since technically they are below you in the whole family tree?

It might only be your side (just add up the number of people that is shown, and then add up the number shown below the bottom peoples' names (IE: "Junior(7 ppl )")

I don't think siblings (people beside you) count. The members under them and everyone else should.

So, elio234 would count towards your 1000 members.

I'm pretty sure it's just the 6 visible juniors + however many juniors they have (0+0+7+0)

Also 1000 is not that unreasonable... at each level you get double the amount.
2+4+8+16+...
With 9 layers full that's 1022. So you just need to invite people 5 levels lower and you could do it by about level 45. Of course that depends on everybody getting juniors. But give it some time and I'd expect this medal to be pretty easy for anyone in 4th job.

No, it would not because they aren't below you.

And that crossbowman knows a good IGN when he sees one.

Too bad these medals don't have slots. If they did, we could see some of those new Chaos scroll drops be put to action. Goggleemoticon

Imagine they had 3 slots and you chaosed it pretty well (+9 your main stats or something like that), then some one from the family tree leaves and you lose your medal Biggrin
That's why they don't have slots xD
