Chief Bandit equip/training advice?
#1
First, is there generally any places other than typhons (ME), gobies (ME on house, BoT on actual gobies) and BoTing raiders that would work at the moment? I'm a lvl 84 Chief Bandit with:
30 BoT
5 Assaulter
3 ME
1 PP
1 Meso Guard
3 Chakra

First if I'm not that rich to ME constantly for levels, I should be maxing assaulter then right? Or does max ME make it much cheaper?

Second, now my equips and stuff. My dex is a little high, but not including AP resets and so forth, how can I improve this character as cheaply as possible? Funding is pretty much apq (I have a means of selling the apples) and I have about a couple million on the character at the moment. I'm not going to get/use nx at any point (unless it's something I gained via MTS, which I haven't gained any sizable quantity so far) and I haven't so far (got a free marriage from a friend).

Equips:
Work Glove: 8 attack
Pink Adventurer Cape: 3 attack, 4 slots
Dragon Tail: 100 attack, 6 luck
Deputy Star Pendant: +5 all stats
Zakum Helm: 15,16,15,15: 10 slots
Snowshoes: +10 Dex (borrowing from a friend)
Overall Bathrobe +10 Dex
Shield: +20 HP (yes, it's worthless, just making sure everyone knows it doesn't have any attack or useful stat)

All other equips = plain (aka earrings)

Area of Blue Kentaurus is good for maxed BoT builds, and so are Typhons.

What are the stats on that shield of yours? You could afford a clean Khanjar with just a few apples, which may or may not be an improvement.

The shield has +20 HP on it xD. Just something I used some def scrolls on. But to equip a khanjar I need 60 STR. I currently have 30 with my equips...

My bad, overlooked the STR requirement on it. It's been a while since I messed around on my hubby's CB. Goggleemoticon

Yeh that's fine. I'm sure it'd cost quite a bit to scroll up equips with 35 STR (I only have 25 STR currently, so I had the wrong number before).... w/o an HTP at least. The shields themselves are quite cheap as you said, I saw some for 20m, probably could find cheaper.

Stats remind me of me at your level... makes it that much easier~
I actually went to spiders at that level, and it paid off really well, but that is negated b/c of Ilbi's being cheap now. It's still good exp, but it's a pot burn unless you get Ilbis. I don't know any other spots, I was mainly there till 10x. As said above, Typhons are supposed to be good exp w/ a BoT build. Worth a try at least, test around a bit before you decide ^^

For SP from that point, I'd get Meso gaurd to 5/6, just so it's less of a hassle. After that, it really depends on where you train. Getting more ME DOES make it cheaper (Not sure how cheap, but it does go down drastically), but you still need to blow up mesos. If you can't afford that, go with Assaulter.

For equips, good atk shield is pretty far out of reach if we exclude khanjars. I'd say wait on that for now. Cheapest upgrade possible is scrolling your cape for luk or dex. After that, try and get some earrings w/ stats on them. Upgrade to a 10 atk wg if you can after that, or before, you would probably get more of a boost from 2 atk but having stat earrings are better than not having them at all. If you can ever afford a decent sheild, or can equip a khanjar, do so. These are all small upgrades, but they will all help. Upgrade as you can of course, and don't bankrupt yourself~

(Hope this information is clear enough, typed it up at 12:30 AM xP)

EDIT: After the gloves and earrings, be sure to get a 15+ stat overall if you can!~

Cool. Thanks for the suggestions Silver and don't worry, they were quite clear. I guess prices depend on worlds so I can't ask much about that (I'm in Windia fyi). And at least in Windia Wolf Spiders were hacker city, but maybe that's changed after the patch? If the ME cost drops dramatically with higher level ME, I might considering doing that instead, because I doubt a higher level assaulter is going to increase my training/killing speed honestly, but it's useful to have a powerful stun move like that I'd assume. How did you deal with the expensive pot costs then? Currently if I use ME to train, I'm using 2.5m or so using ME per level, and raiders kept draining my pots until... 7x (then I started breaking even, still not making money >_>)? So how did you make money in the end, ilbis? Oh, ok, thanks for the edit about the overall.

I heard rumours that spiders had cleared out... but I'm not sure how true that is.
Assaulter, to be honest, is a movement skill in the end. But at your level, it can be really useful as it ignores w.def. I'd still go for ME first if you can afford it of course.
As for my own pot costs, I stuck to FoG a lot. I made mesos there, but it wasn't that dramatic... maybe 2mil each day, training for 4 hours on 2x drop. It gave me something to start with at least. I could use that 2mil to buy Pizzas in NLC to then train on Spiders with. And to be honest, I was REALLY poor till I started training on spiders. It was what made me the mesos. But then, they were 16mil a piece when I was training there... it wouldn't be nearly as dramatic an increase in your pocket nowadays. You could probably still pull even there if you got lucky w/ other drops though, I recall breaking even b/c of the other drops spiders had even before the Ilbis. This was on working 2x drop though.
I hope that answers some of your questions. Poast

Yup. Thanks for the help Silver. Someone mentioned about training at Blue Kents... any idea what type of Kents are in the minidungeon?

No, I actually haven't heard or seen of a kent's minidungeon. But I think the map they are refering to is the one just before Manon's map. Just luring w/ BoT and then finishing them all off w/ the same move for each platform is the stragety in a nutshell.
Any last questions before I have to collapse in my bed for the night? xD

Edit: Guess not x3 Goodnight interwebs~

Kent Dungeon has all three spawning. Blue Kents have a good spawn and map layout for training, and the MD has a similar layout, with leveled platforms. The mixed spawn is less favourable to other jobs since they train based on elemental advantage, but that shouldn't pose a problem for you. All that should remain, theoretically, is personal preference and %/hr. Go try both maps out and see which is better for you.

I started training at Area of Blue Kentaurus at 81 and stayed there till around 90. You'll be getting at least 22-26% an hour with 1x exp there, just lure them all with BoT to one side and spam BoT.
