And please do tell us how your King Goblin baiting goes Glitter

I must have missed this joke. I've seen Alloy's signature for a long time now, but never asked. What exactly is gobling bait? Tongue

And I want to win the contest, but sadly I've always had bad luck with drops. Be it apples, scrolls, or ores, it takes me a long time to find what I'm looking for. Frown
I'll still try though. Rolleyes

The three King Goblins are boss monsters from Korean Folk Town, which are summoned using special foods made in KFT (which can only be acquired once an hour or several hours).

Few people kill them more than once (for a quest), which means few people will have their cards in their books.

Alloy has decided to focus on getting these rare cards, first thing.
He has accumulated hundreds of each kind of summoning-food (bait), hoping that these will get him enough Goblin King kills to get their cards.

I'll be attacking that Monsterbook as if I were one of those rabid, raging, infected zombie-people from REC. (Quarantine). Would be cool to finally win a contest.

Also, I hope they'll add cards for all the NLC and Crimsonwood monsters... unless they already have them?

Yeah, I was refering to the web events.

Oh, does this mean you'll spend more time on your BM? =P

If a card drops, great. If it doesn't, meh. I'm not sure which monster I'd like for my cover art though. *imagines Jared having Pianus on the cover*

Do I sense some interest here to catch Issac for that Stalker SS thread Excellent?

My personal plan is to wipe out chimera on all ch.s of Windia as soon as the patch is over, then head over to Vic and gather all of the endangered species. After that, I'll grab Malady on the way out of Vic and take on all Orbis Garden monsters prioritizing on Nepandeths. Beyond that I think I'll take out the upper levels of ludi, then head down the tower gathering as I get to Omega. After clearing out Omega, I'll use my last warp card to vic and clear out basically all the other low level monsters from Vic. I don't think I'll get much farther than that in a month though, given how rare the cards are to my knowledge.

Just how rare a drop are the Monster Book cards? Any drop more often that others?

I feel that boss monsters will have a slightly higher chance to drop to make up fro the fact you can only fight them so many times a day. A 5% chance would sound about right. 10% would be pushing it.

Yeah, I seriously lol'd. You could spend any amount of time in Magatia and know your 5% is an absolutely hilarious number. They're so much rarer than that.

I've done all the magatia quests and spent a few hours here and there spamming roar to try and find chaos scrolls and helm int 60%s... I've found one monster book card so far. Tongue I'm not gonna bother with actually trying to win the event. >_>

There's a monster that drops Chaos Scrolls? O_O

(And while I'm at it, is it true a Zipangu monster drops Thermometer?)

Yes, they do drop chaos scrolls. Nobody knows if that's still true as Nexon can apparently change the droplists at will.

I don't know about the Thermometers, but I think Newspaper hats drop in Zipangu.

Anyways, I already have around 4 monster cards, so I'm at a bit of a headstart. Biggrin

I also have spring break to hunt for them. Someone make a list so we can keep track of who has the most! Rolleyes

I'm also wondering if repeats count as "cards".

id say they count, since there is a stack of 5 cards per monster.
