It's so easy to survive the PQ. It takes even less effort than Zakum in the fact that after Margana is killed and the bosses are rushed left and right, you can just afk at the top and talk. >_>

Unless you happen to get hit by their AoE attacks... hmm....

It's only seriously safe to afk up top if no one plans to rush bosses across the room or if Red Nirg was the only one left below 75% HP.

I'm talking about the +300 hp gain, I can't survive at the Crimsonwood bosses with 2900 hp (what I'll have at that level) unless I have the pendant which (will now) only be available by beating those bosses.

I guess I could just stand at the opposite part of the room from the bosses but that's not much fun. I was gonna just get the pendant on my Paladin and transfer it over (since the Paladin can actually attack the bosses) but looks like that's no longer an option.

Really the only AoE attack you should be aware of comes from Rellik. Hsalf has an AoE attack, but it's not very strong. Margana's attacks aren't powerful either.

Assuming you rush Red Nirg and Hsalf to the right, and rush Rellik to the left, and Margana to the left of the middle platform, then people can AFK up on the top of the top right platform without being hit.

That too, but by afk, I didn't mean ditch your computer, I meant not participating in battle.

(Which reminds me again how pissed I was when during my last CWKPQ run two weeks ago, I was fighting the bosses partyless and when I died, I didn't get rez. Those who were afking up top chatting got to go to bonus. That just shows how easy it is to ditch the fight in the Grandmaster's room.)

Or you can just use HB and survive.

The bosses don't hit very high. As long as you're not fighting Red Nirg, I don't think you'll die (as long as you pot appropriately).

I really don't get why people are complaining. I'm in the class with the rep for low hp and only in my 12X, and I managed to earn mine after 5 runs. The pendant is 110 min to begin with, so I don't see why people can't just wait till they are the level to use it to earn it. True, mine is only 10 attack, but I'm happy with that.

If survivability is the question, I managed to be a replacement for a rusher for around 17 mins after he died being a decoy for rellik and hsalf (the run failed later when someone dead told me that they would just agro to their corpse and the bosses ended up meeting each other, but still). Archers can survive just like they do everywhere else they get 2HKOed, by potting themselves.

If it is about connections... well that varies from person to person. I personally have spent less than .05% of my time in maple in parties, and over 3/4ths of that was spent in PPQ(earning the lvl 90 hat) with the remainder in KPQ and LPQ (and the long lost FoG parties). I still managed to find someone that I knew who knew someone who knew someone who organized runs. After getting in the queue, I managed to earn mine after a few runs. I'm sure it isn't that hard to find someone, granted the patience for a run is something to bear. Took 3 weeks to do 4 runs getting the timing right for all of us. But really, what is 3 weeks in the scheme of a final equip?

Ultimately I agree with others in that this should have been done from the start, and am glad that this was done. I also wish that Dep's star was untradable(because it is a 1 time quest for people) and that the Eye of Horus was tradable(because it is from a level limited PQ).

I don't know what your CWPQ bossing strategy is, but the way we do it any low lvl we bring along (lvl 90 pirate for example) will easily survive.

The low lvls stand on the right platform out of harms way for the entire battle. The following procedure is then followed.

1. Pin bottom bosses to the left (assuring that low lvls will never see an area attack.)

2. Ranged kills Morgana

3. Warrior rushed right

4. Ranged kill warrior

5. Thief rushed right. (Its theoretically possible that the Area attack could get someone here, but last time we did this the low lvl asked me when he needed to be prepared for the thief. When the time came the thief was rushed passed him before he even knew what was going on.)

6. Ranged kill thief.

7. Hopefully Melee has bowman dead, if not, the entire fighting force goes left and gets owned for a few minutes until the bowman finally dies.

Its incredibly easy to loaf around in this pq.

It'll be no different than selling zhelms and HT pendants, except you can charge the buyers extra if they want to Bonus.

You probably give them too much credit. As mentioned earlier I really wouldn’t be surprised if the reason behind it was that karma scissors are coming soon. Biggrin

I figure Nexon screwed up and didn't originally mean for this to be tradeable anyway. (Note they mention it under "Bug Fixes.") I could wish they had done an emergency patch for it, but I guess they didn't think it was a big deal. Rolleyes

So, I think it's good that they are putting it back to the way it should have been.

Question to all the people who have tons of pends to sell right now- Why are you trying to get 90m (avg price for an avg pend in scania) for your pends? I would try to sell them 10-20m lower than everyone else to get rid of them before the patch. Once they patch all the pends, you're pretty much stuck with them.

Why should they lose money when desperate people (People with no connections) who want a pendant are going to start shelling out the mesos for it before they patch?
