Is SI or SE better for Corsairs?
#21
The experimental time for Cannon (3) is 630ms.

And anyway, evidence from the data seems to suggest that attack duration is proportional to speed number plus 10. So any speed (2) should be 13/12 = 1.08333x the speed of (3), again discounting any rounding that may occur.

I had SI when I CWK PQed today, so I took the opportunity to time Cannon while waiting for archers to finish their room. I got ~50 shots in 30 seconds with SI and ~46 without.

This leads me to believe the correct speeds are 600 and 630, not 660 and 690.

You're using 660 and 690ms, which is not right, i can guarantee that. I think Russt was onto something with 630 and ~585ms. This puts it at 95 shots per minute with booster, and 102 shots per minute with SI.

I've timed a full minute of Cannon, and it is definitely right about 95.

The numbers i used in my calcs for 1 minute of damage used 95 and 102 attacks per minute. I'll need to get some SI and try to test the speed myself as well.

None: 2412.7% =3.8*4*1000/630
SI: 2533.33% =3.8*4*1000/600
SE: 2546.03% =4.01*4*1000/630
Both: 2673.33% =4.01*4*1000/600

Fair enough.

Agreed. Technically SE is slightly better, but from a training perspective, SI might be a little better.

If an extra crit or two does not help you kill faster (i.e. 1 hit instead of 2 hit), then SE is near pointless. Also, SI will cause you to attack slightly faster so you will kill all monsters slightly faster, not having to rely on crits for that. I suppose it might matter on your particular case on which is better (if SE helps you 1hit/2hit more often, then it is probably better) but having either or can do you no wrong.

I agree with this. Unreliable crits are probably not good for training at all. SE is just slightly better for DPS.

That's only if it's 600ms with SI. If it's faster like the 585ms that was mentioned (another 2 shots a minute), then SI is better for DPS. It's a tossup until further evidence is uncovered.

Well considering every other time we have is a multiple of 30 ms, I don't think that's likely o_o
