I have both an SI and an SE mule. My Buccaneer has level 11 SI, and my Marksman has level 30 SE. If I were to fight a boss, such as Anego, which one would be more beneficial to killing it faster?

For corsairs I'd go with SE. They attack quite fast already, my guess is it's their fastest speed.

Depends if you can still pin with Speed Infusion. If you can, it's likely better, but post your stats and skills in case.

Seconded^. If your gun speed isn't at it's max, SI would be, I assume..? But if it is, SE is definitely better. I tried SI with my NL (using Craven), I felt a small difference, but it wasn't very noticeable. Corsairs on the other hand, I'm sure SE doesn't affect them as much as a Night Lord, so SI would be better for the slower guns.

Actually, SI doesn't work for NLs. It makes a huge difference for Corsairs and other classes that it works on (Buccs, Warriors, Bowmen w/ Strafe, CB, etc).
I'm not yet a Corsair. However, I know that I will be using a Concerto, which wields a "fast" speed.

Guns are Fast (5). Speed Infusion does make a noticeable difference on Cannon speed. Someone would have to test the speed of Cannon, though >_>
I believe SI helps more, but it really depends on the speed.

I don't believe there are any Fast (4) Guns, only Fast (5) and Normal (6).
Cannon is 690ms Fast (3) and 660ms Fast (2).

I don't believe those speeds are correct. Cannon is a lot faster than Strafe.

Time it for a minute and let us know the results then.

Every test i've done nets me ~95 casts per minute. I'm positive that's around what he'll get too.

I meant slower than the OU guns, not saying there are 'Slower'-speed guns, lol.. That's why I didn't capitalize the 'S'.

Any skill should be around 8.3% faster at (2) than (3), discounting 30ms-rounding (if it exists).
Cannon is around 5.5% stronger with SE. Not very impressive.

It's something like that, but I'll need a Buccaneer to help me do the tests with SI.

I'm not sure whether the 30-ms rounding occurs within the game or between the game and LazyBui's packet tools, though. If it's the former, then these numbers would obviously not be exact.

The 7% and 5.5% was correct on Cannon. The damage output looks something like this for 1 minute of cannon firing. (no bullseye in these calculations)
Normal - 144,400%
w/S.E. - 152,380%
w/S.I. - 155,040%
SI+SE - 163,608%
now check out Rapidfire just for comparison (SI has no effect)
Normal - 80,000%
w/S.E. - 90,500%

I dunno exactly how you guys are getting your numbers, but I got SE as stronger. So... math.
The formula is [averageDamageOfCannon*numberOfBullets*1000/speed] for DPS. SE adds an average of 21% per bullet (140*.15)
DPS
None: 2202.9% =3.8*4*1000/690
SI: 2303.03% =3.8*4*1000/660
SE: 2324.64% =4.01*4*1000/690
Both: 2430.3% =4.01*4*1000/660
DPM
None: 132173.91% =3.8*4*60000/690
SI: 138181.82% =3.8*4*60000/660
SE: 139478.26% =4.01*4*60000/690
Both: 145818.18% =4.01*4*60000/660
Realistically, it'd probably be best to buff yourself with SE before you go in, then do SI the rest of the time. If you wanna be lazy though, SE is stronger. Also, no Bullseye in any of the above calcs. If you want to know what it would be with Bullseye, then just multiply the % in bold by 1.2. It doesn't change their relationship with one another at all, though.

I think your casting time numbers are off, that's why you get a different result.

I'm not ready to believe any of my numbers are wrong unless anyone else can prove it. I don't see any formulae from anyone else, just random, exact (which is strange) numbers.
