for the one who don't know, there's a new season to FMA, called "FullMetal Alchemist : Brotherhood" which follow the manga, unlike the old FMA anime series.

The way things are drawn reminds me of the 1st anime series, but... the opening was very impressively done. o_O

Yeah, just finished watching it after I downloaded it. Seems like the second series of the same manga is gonna be just as good as the first. For some reason, the whole animation looks different and I like it.

Its supposedly going to be closer to the manga than the first series, which deviated fairly early on with the entire plot.[/COLOR]

Wow, that was amazing. I'm really impressed, I can't wait for the rest.
(Should I be "Isaac of Ice" for a while? XD)

lol, please dont antagonize yourself D: I dont know about everyone else, but I find "Isaac the Alchemist" pretty cool as it is xD
I was really on the fence on this at the beginning, as I saw the whole "first season" (or whatever you want to call it) of Full Metal Alchemist and decided to download it to give it a watch just to see what it was like. To my surprise, everything in this first episode was nothing like the first episode of the original Full Metal Alchemist and really has me wondering what the difference in plot is. I liked the opening and ending songs quite a bit and found the openning animation nice and the ending animation refreshing, though I can understand why some people might not like the style.
I will say this though: I enjoyed the "original" full metal alchemist anime quite a bit and if most of that plot was self-built and directed and was that amazing, then I wonder how this plot will compare to it...I hope it'll be better than the first anime, which would make it simply amazing but... yeah. I suppose time will tell... Im still debating whether to pick up the manga or not...and whether I have time/will be not too lazy about it too.

the old FMA's anime series, half of it, was just fillers. They took the anime to something that has nothing to do with the manga.
this time, it's gonna follow the manga. which is A LOT better than the anime version.
that's why I think they started the FMA: BH with a filler [yeah, this episode wasn't a part of the manga].. they don't want to start the same as how it started the the old series.
So.. when i'll get the second episode, i'll give it here. because, that episode suppose to be the REAL opening of the manga.
OH, and Isaac,
be an Ice Alchemist plz =D

Would I miss out on anything if I watched this without having watched the first series?

Yeah, I knew that this one is going to be much closer to the Manga rather than filler like the previous anime which drifted off around episode 20ish, or so my friend said. I already noticed the change where Hughe's daughter was already born in the first episode rather than born a few episodes in. Anyone else notice that? >_>

You shouldn't be missing out on anything except an amazing series. You should just go back and watch the whole other one just because it's amazing.

I love the thing before and after the commercial break: "Full Metal Alchemist...", "Full Metal Alchemist!"
I have actually been thinking about reading the manga lately and then I heard about this. So happy I won't have to spend hours on One Manga. I'll just sit back and watch for 24 minutes every week.
The episode was great and it definetly gives me the feeling that the whole series will be great. Can't wait to see more.
