What made you want to become a Pirate?

jk, I wanted to try out the class since it wasn't out in gMS back then, liked it from lvl10 on and no life grinded to captain then 8r

Played a Night Lord, I found out I Like playing far/long-ranged classes over warriors. I don't like using bows as much as I do stars. I do want to make a Bowmaster (saving that for Cygnus...), so I decided to make a Slinger and see how similar it is to my Night Lord.

I was pretty much stuck at 123 with my night lord cause training wasn't fun anymore... then there were rumours that pirates were coming soon so i made a char and got it to lvl 10 like 3 months before pirates came out,(I was decided to make a brawler since I had long range already and I wanted close but for some reason I could never get a warrior past 50) when they came out I advanced to pirate and got to lvl like 20 in a day xD lame I know but the next day my computer exploded and i couldn't play for a while.... then by december my mom got a laptop from her office and I started playing...

My Marauder is now 101 and I love playing it :3 and luckily I picked brawler over slinger cause I have a slinger too now and got it to like 36 and quit cause it was boring (notice that I've had fun during every level of my Marauder, never got bored that I remember)

It's got a little bit of everything, and it's a class that uses their fisticuffs and combos to deal maximum damage, meaning it's easy to see who's a good player and who's terrible.

And Corsairs seemed to be a nice replacement for Hermits

Erm, coolness? I loved the look of transform, though now I'm even deciding not to max shockwave ._.
Shikage's vids and brawler damage thread really made me want a brawler.
I'd tried just about every class but always quit before level 50, except for my level 52 IL mage. When I made my brawler, it just stuck and I've gotten to 103, and have become a less newb mapler ._. Planning to take my Marauder as far as I can get it x_x

I was getting bored of spamming Blizzard at skeles and i wanted to try a new char, my origional plan was to make a BowMaster but after seeing how many there were i changed my mind and after learning more about pirates liek their movement skills (Wings, Recoil Shot, and Dash) i realized they could have the potential to be a fast moveing char(similiar to a Night Lord) but their other skills(burst fire and Rapid Fire) reminded me of a Bowmasters skill set, so i felt this to be a very good mix of the 2 which is why i choose a pirate gunslinger, then when you mix this in with the Battleship and throw in Cannon this leaves room for one of the highest Damage Per Min attacks in the game and its rit Range is crazyyy which leaves you able to kill many bosses that some Melee chars can not, or have trouble with (Anego, Bigfoot(to an extent), Tengu, Ect.) then throw in Freeze breathe or w.e its called and in my opinion you have one of the most well rounded chars in maple, able to solo bosses well, able to move around faster than most, able to deal high ammounts of damage In and Out of the battle ship and overall so far i would suggest a Gunslinger to others

I thought they would be fun to play with, and they are. They also have the nicest looking armors, if only I could find it.

All other classes became very boring to me. It was either pirates save me or I quit for good. And the pirate saved me.

This. Along with the fact that saders are boring as pineapple, and a marauders fast paced play style is very attractive.

Wolf Territory V made me quit in early 07. Then I sometimes came back and lurked. Then I found out about Pirates and decided I wanted to be a Slinger...until I read up on the Brawlers and decided a close range class that gets "all-up-in-da-monstahs-grill" would suit me. I love being a Brawler and been one since since they came out. Not only that, they are cheap as hell and and have some secksy mobbing skills. And the rum..don't forget the rum.

Think if Super Saiyan was combined with Kiaoken. Major power and speed boost, all attacks are enhanced, but has a strain on the body because the science behind it is blood circulates the body much faster than normal, meaning the body's metabolism burns through calories really quick.
