Email issues

Some of you may have experienced problems with the various email functions of the forum, and has officially been brought to my attention by Isaac.

Upon investigation of the actual server, I found the mailserver was actually offline for an unknown reason, possibly because it shut itself off or it crashed, one of the two.

The mailer has been restarted, however, be advised that some functions will still not work or work properly. Also keep in mind that the mail system is limited in how many mails it sends per 15 minutes, to prevent flooding/spamming, so you may or may not experience a delay after accessing various email-related functions on the forums.

I manage the server that southperry.net runs on. Basically, I'm the guy that tinkers with things behind the scenes (such as the mailserver, etc) and troubleshoots when something goes wrong.

Well kinda hard to give attention to the 10+ IRC networks and who knows how many channels I spend time in.

(not to mention I also have real life to worry about as well *coughJOBcough*)

Somehow I figured these things, I just didn't know for sure. Never seen you post, or anyone make mention. But then again you are always in the IRC.

For every server, there will always be a maintainer. Adura is just one of many. He can maintain a server, so do many others, but it doesnt imply they're all like Adura.
