On Khaini, someone asked the GM if they found a patch for 'ND and DC hax' and he/she answered '(yep)'

It was just a server check, not a patch.

Probably had something to do with increased security/virus scans/back up because of the Conficker scare.

Yeah it was a server check. But a server software upgrade could be what is needed to prevent DC hacks. After all the hackers are exploiting some bug or weakness in the server software that causes the server to shut down other player's clients. They are not sending their crap directly to other clients.

they didn't patch the d/c hack. I got d/c'd in FM first thing this morning.... TWICE

Did you stay in and let it kick you off? Because then you can Zak on other channels or log into somebody's Zak run. =)

They probably need to patch to do that. Kind of obvious since both the patch and the hack involves the files they'll be modifying...
