I'm still waiting for an Arch Dark Markslord. The ultimate character!
The training ability and MG of an arch mage!
The HP and HB of a DrK!
The SE and snipe(Combined with poison mist! SNIPE MIST!) of a marksman.
And the mobility/damage of night lord!
All in one character!
They should make all the scrolls available from a harder Exchange quest.
L>Krakian exchange quest that has a lot of quest pre requisites even harder than CWK quests.
Make it so you can only get the scrolls for your class, and make them untradeable. Problem solved. Oh, and remove the 1h-sword from the cwk exchange and put it here.
The exchange quest would have to be hard as hell.

The prereqs most likely won't stop hardcore questers like Isaac, dan, and a few others (and me!). Not to mention this sounds like self-gathering Dragon Spirits/Scales all over again. Hoo boy.
Personally I don't think there really should be a an allowance of GM scrolls in general. Good for crazy events, maybe, but not anything else.

I'm sure they could manage to make a hard quest. Of course nothing stops hardcore questers!
The quest should combine Jump questing(This kills a lot of people right there), Knowing a lot about Masteria(Go die non-readers! ), getting a lot of quest items(1k items please) and some puzzle-like thing.
Then make some kind of jump quest+boss thing, the boss would do low damage(1's) but would try to make you fall, if you fall, you have to do the collecting quest again.
Once you kill it you have 5 minutes to get out of a dark jump quest room(Think entrace to dark magician's lab) or you lose and have to do the collecting again! Mwahahaha.
Then you can use the exchange quest, but now you have to get the exchange items! Which should have lower rate than badges, and be in a jump quest like map, you fall, you fail.
I think that would be enough to stop most people.

I think that would be enough to stop EVERYONE. INCLUDING Hard Core Questers. Seriously. No average Mapler (-laughs at you 8 year olds out there-) would be able to do that. MAYBE 1/10000000 people could.

That would simply make everyone disregard that such scrolls even exist as a possibility just as most people never complete "building a house for blackbull", "manji's old gladius" and "nependeath honey" quests.

Even assuming Warrior's Stance skill can't be used for benefit, that seems a bit stupid.

The entrance to the Dark Magician's lab was nothing like a dark JQ room. It was just simply a bit confusing.
Also, I h4x the .wz to solve the assh0le invisible JQ =P (or drop mesos to mark the platforms)

If it exists in data, there's a good chance it can exist in-game. How accessible it is is another matter.

Except the hackers, who would be the only ones who'd do it frequently because they'd just breeze right through, thereby massively inflating their wealth at the expense of the lazy, unskilled and impatient. As usual.

At first we had normal scrolls.
Then we had dark scrolls.
Then we had white scrolls.
Then we had clean slate scrolls.
Then we had chaos scrolls.
Now we have GM scrolls.
What next? Only more GM scrolls. I bet they'll stick some of them in Gachapon one day and give them the same rarity of white scrolls from NLC Gach.

You know what could be next? The Nexon America Scroll (ADDS 10 ATTACK and 20 primary stat and 5 secondary stat to any weapon for at a 50% rate for the price only 10K Nexon Cash). Seriously pretty much all of the type of scrolls can be obtained using either gach or nx required events. If you people learned anything or have detected any pattern, Nexon releases scrolls which are more powerful and favors the NX hoarding population since they bring in the most money.

Please explain how hunting GM scrolls from a monster in game favors the NX community.

You're not looking at the big picture, Nexon doesn't care who they favor, they wanna drive up player interest and through that potential NX sales.
By continuing a steady release cycle of making items NX only, then NX or event, then NX, event, or monster drop they ensure that every new fad item eventually becomes common place and taken for granted so that the next big thing they release is that much better because it's the only way to be "ahead" of everyone else.
Releasing the previous cycles gacha only item to monster drops means more interest for the players who can't afford to spend NX on countless gacha tries, but possibly can spend NX on things like safety charms, VIP rocks, 2x and double drop coupons, not to mention pets, pet pickups and autopots - Things they can justify as "tangible" and "guaranteed".
Nexon veiws every single player as nothing more than a potential sale and the longer you're in the "shop" (game) the more chance you'll buy something so they want to encourage every level to hang around as much as possible, even if they're not very good at it.

You forgot Clean Slate Glitch. -cough cough- I must be catching a cold. -cough cough-
Though, I do agree with DrRusty. GM scrolls are just bad in general. Putting anymore in the game will just further destroy the economy. That would be like giving free cars away to everyone in the world in today's economy.

This is flawed in my eyes though. By this logic every single thing in this game "caters to NX users" (essentially the same logic as threads that state this game cannot be played without NX), which can be countered with the classic and true "you don't have to buy NX, you want to buy NX".
2x drop making GM scrolls cater to NX users is horrible. Again by that logic the whole game caters to NX users. It's not the game that caters to NX users, it's the NX that caters to the players. If anything having GM scrolls available just caters to classes that kill extremely fast (*coughcough* bishops/and fire mages) and the classes that can actually train off them for godly exp. (corsairs i believe are the only class confirmed for that)
Even then the rate of getting a scroll is extremely horrible anyway. My friend turned in almost 1500 badges and hasn't gotten one yet. All it does is make the rich more powerful, and that's it. The fact that the mob is killable only by the elite players and not exactly the best exp in the world past a certain point just makes the scroll even more rare.
Also, i wanna point out on the topic of rarity: If it was supposed to be a normal 10% scroll, why make it so damn rare?

Takebacker Wrote:Please explain how hunting GM scrolls from a monster in game favors the NX community. If you've ever been in the MTS, you'll see that people stick GM scrolls in there for over $100 and you'll even know that people buy these $100 dollars on a regular basis.
When someone sticks a GM scroll in the MTS, it equates to Nexon sticking an item in the cash shop. Someone sees it, says "hey I can finish my weapon with it", go out to the store and buys $100 worth of NX, and then purchases it and uses it. What do they get in return? The same effects as a 30% scroll.
Also, if people are doing 4 or 5 slots, that's an easy $400~$500 on a single item. Then if the person wants to turn around and resell the item... guess who else is going to go out buying the perfect weapons for around $700 each.
If you want to say "but the NX is merely changing hands", it's not. The tax is ridiculously high, even higher than what we have here irl. It's a whole 10%. That means for every $100, Nexon makes $10 disappear.

Actually i was going to say that people merchant for the NX, which doesn't involve NX users at all (except for the ones who had NX, purchased or otherwise, who bought the merchanters stuff, but that doesn't matter). No one goes out and spends $100 for one scroll, and they certainly didn't do it when the scrolls were 300k each.
I think you guys are missing something though. "Favoring" the NX community means making it EXCLUSIVELY obtainable through NX (gach, gach boxes) which can then be sold off to the general public. Since this thing isn't obtained using NX it doesn't favor them.

(Much like those aura rings.)
It honestly doesn't matter since it still results in the people charging NX. If you want to say that it's exclusively obtainable through NX, then you can say more half the items obtainable through gach and gacha boxes don't count, because they're also obtainable in game as well.
Remember that when you use the MTS, you're using someone else's real money. It's not just another representation of mesos anymore, someone had paid for it to be there.
