Why don't you guys play YOUR character and stop worrying about everything else? It works out pretty good for me.

I like worrying though ![]() *wrings hands* But yea, again, this thread is mainly people wishfully thinking that Nexon was fair and logical, expressed through GM scrolls. It goes beyond the simple issue at hand to become a metaphor for a greater, more imposing issue.

Hard to tell what happened first, poor customers or poor customer service. They feed off each other in a never ending cycle, so it's all a big, convoluted mess at the moment... On Nexon's part though, their programming and even simple things like blog posts and npc chat are error ridden and often poorly constructed. They don't even take the time to do a simple grammar/spell check the majority of the time, and, while a "free" game, people expect a higher degree of professionalism from a game company they spend a lot of money on. The company is extremely difficult to communicate with when there are problems, and often responds with generic or copy-paste company line statements. That's a bit off topic though, so please, return to GM scroll debate.

Honestly, who's even to say they meant to put GM scrolls out there into the public? I mean, I know it's been out there a while, but it's not a game breaking situation, so they really wouldn't jump to try and fix it. If they really meant to put GM scrolls out there, they wouldn't have just thrown one weapon scroll out there for the hell of it.

The issue wasn't whether they were intentional, but what Nexon could do to re-balance against them. They've had several oppurtunities to easily fix it in SCs or Patches, and haven't, so either there is a larger issue at hand, Nexon failed to notice (doubtful), or they simply don't care.

"ME WANT TOOOOOOOOO BAW ". (my lunchbox is 60%ed thank you, ive regretted it for a few months now). of course nexon shouldnt release more gm scrolls. they were stupid to in the first place. perfect weapons should be SPECIAL and representative of spending way too much time in game, not a buy-in of $700.

This is pretty much what I wanted to say. My lb is 60% scrolled and I am more than happy with it. I hate the idea that the gm scrolls are so easily obtainable and am still not convinced nexon knows what the hell is going on. The gm scrolls, for all classes/weapons, should be removed and only obtainable from gm events or just not at all. MasPan Wrote:but it's only 1h sword users, primarily heros. You keep neglecting BW/Axe/DrK...and even 2h users. A 144 Lunchbox is as good as a 177 1h BW or 184 1h Axe. GM scrolls for 1h BW/Axe won't fix this problem. The strongest 1h axe has 108 base atk... Swords are just better, end of story. If you wanted to be strong, pick Sword. If you wanted to be weak, pick the other weapons. On the other hand, 144 LB + 20 Shield ~ 146 Normal speed Spear/PA. I'm not sure that's possible either, but it's a lot closer than scrolling +76 atk...

It was likely supposed to be 10% One Hand Sword, but they got mixed up and put in the wrong ID. This is becoming increasingly more common, what with essentially the same situation going on with Gachapon and the Branch Nose (the branch nose being more of a glitch because it lacks an intended feature [time limited expiration] whereas this is just something that shouldn't be available as it is), and then again with Windraiders dropping 15% Glove Dex (which I assure you was supposed to be 10%, same case.) Nexon is repeatedly mixing up the ID numbers for items and releasing the wrong one. You would like to think that when they added pirate items to the exchange quest they'd have noticed this and fixed it, but apparently not. It's a little late anyway, the damage is done as far as GM Scrolls influencing weapon development. So that's what we're trying to figure out, how can we get equal development with other types of weapons? I think the best way to even it out would probably be to give out some through an event, but I doubt Nexon's going to try to rectify this balance at all.

They probably don't know about it. We gotta make sure to ask him if that was intentional and/or if he plans to balance that out or not in the next Q&A.

AMs /Bishops using 2/3 of area on newties/skeles maps because their ultimates is fair? Bowmans and the crapiest hp on game is fair? LoLPALADIN* job is fair? no is not... GM scrolls = fair? i dont think so either, but now they are released and some ppl already have their godly swords. would be fair remove those scrolls now and let everyone who doenst have a godly sword out? this is prolly what is gonna happen in the end... * i love paladins. nexon dont

The only real thought I have behind this is if/when they release more GM scrolls, will they be as easy to obtain?:f6: Honestly, I have no problem with people buying and selling GM scrolls over a sever. Thats fine, your merchant just earned max mesos if you managed to sell one. And for the buyer; Grats to you for being one step closer to a godly weapon. But being able to obtain them on MTS was just a bit much for me to bear. Who am I to say they did it for the money? But of all things to put in MTS and to keep out, they chose to keep the GM scroll. It might be a good marketig aproach, but it seems to have caused a bit of screw up within the game.

Hendrix Wrote:no one can really say why they are called GM scrolls, only thing everyone knows is the first scroll supposed come from a GM in a event... and the name GM scroll become popular after that...This is a horrible argument. You can't refute logic by saying "lolz nexon logic" because we all know that Nexon is very prone to mistakes, especially mistakes that are clearly of the careless variety. Accidentally inputting the ID For 100% One Hand Sword instead of 10% One Hand Sword is a very easy mistake that one could make if they weren't paying attention. Hence, a careless mistake. I mean, let's look at it:
You see how easy it would be? If you just accidentally type 3 instead of 2, you've just released GM scrolls to the game. It's so clearly a mistake that it's mind-boggling that anyone could claim it's intentional. Again, that being said, this is a different case from the Branch Noses because while they could be removed, these scrolls have already been consumed so there's no way to know. All they could do is correct the imbalance by leaking some other type of weapons, but it's highly unlikely because that would mean owning up to a mistake and we all know that's something they rarely do.

Sometimes I have to wonder if the person responsible for these "careless mistakes", particularly the easily exploitable ones like the GM scrolls, doesn't have a character of their own reaping these little easter eggs for their own amusement and that's why they're never fixed. Wouldn't be the first time someone in power stacked a few tricks in the deck in theri favor, even though it seems unlikely on this scale.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

(though considering that every weapon 60% ends in 01 I dunno how they would miss that)
