How did you find maplestory?

A friend introduced it to me. Ironically he quit two days after he did, and almost four years and a half later, I'm still here.

Referred to by a RL friend - just saw this 2-D game that looked so weird......

My friends quit a year after that, I'm the only guy left. >_>

My cousin signed me up and my friend was addicted as well. I chose other just cause my cousin was the one who really pushed me to play xD

I was playing Gunbound (<3 that game, but too much was too much x_X) and people were talking about MapleStory. So when summer rolled around, I decided to try it out to kill the time xD

Friends in high school told me to try it. They quit right after telling me to play, so I started alone.

Boyfriend at the time told me to download it...so I did and I was really entertained and so was he...until I passed him at like lvl 20 and he got really competitive and decided it was a stupid, childish game. Needless to say, hes not my boyfriend anymore. LOL.

A Neopets forum I used to go to had a few people who played Maplestory and the forums had a subforum for the game, so I decided to join.

I was in English class during my Senior year in 06. A classmate approached me and told me to try it out seeing as I'm a RPG dork. Here I am.

my friend told me to start playing that game that was BETA stage and supposedly would be free forever, i joined in =D

For GMS, I found out when they were doing the beta testing.

For JMS, I found out when they had more content and found out how to make an account.

I heard about it from a friend when it was in beta. I'm pretty sure they quit around level 20 though...

Was a member of a Gamer Forum. People had MapleStory Characters in their avatars, and were talking about it. It just came out around then, and I decided to join the sensation. Started out total noob, Henesys Wh0re, now look at me. *smiles&shinesteeth*

That sounds kind of embarrassing. Probably just me though.

A friend and I were searching for free MMO's on this top 100 free game sites. First we tried tibia and it was terrible. Then we tried this really bad 3D game where I killed a rabbit and got eaten by a bear before the game crashed and nearly took my computer with it. Finally found maple story in BETA. Played a while, got bored for large periods at a time, and came back around November 07. I still frequently take large breaks from it... like I am right now.

Friend of mine stopped playing Halo 2 as much and said it was because of Maplestory, then him and a couple other friends showed it to me. I started during the 1 year anniversary, and have been playing off-and-on since then.

Friend (ironically a hacker who soon grew bored with the game) kept trying to get me to play so he had someone to talk to. Soon after I finally joined, he quit. Lulz.

I watched my roomie play it alot and decided to make a character myself.

So yeah, learned about it from a friend like a majority of you guys ;p
